Nowadays, nothing is permanent. Maintaining certain standards of living is very difficult. In worse case, because of financial problems, some families are even forced to evade their homes and transfer to smaller lots. During the moving, the family takes everything that is important. For some people, their gardens are included in these important things. Here are some travel tips for the plants of those who are so attached to their gardens.
For small plants, if they are just placed inside the car, it is important to always keep the windows rolled down. Plants are very sensitive to temperature, thus, when the windows of the car are rolled up, such that the temperature inside the car is very warm, the plants will most probably not survive the trip. Other than this, small plants are very easy to transport.
Unlike small plants, moving larger plants requires more tricks. Larger plants are more fragile during trips because they are prone to breaking their branches. This is why it is advisable that whenever moving relatively large plants, one should wrap the plant from the bottom up. Broken branches could be minimized when the plant is wrapped.
For both small and large plants, it is important that they be planted upon the arrival in the new home. It is also advisable that the plants be nurtured with fertilizers before and after the move.
Keeping a garden in new homes is not just a good decoration for your new home; it is also very helpful in adapting to the new environment specially with familiar plants around.
