“Weird Al” Yankovic Vs. The World’s Hottest Hot Wings (Video)

Please tell me you remember the Michael Jackson song parody Weird Al did, “Eat It” (an off-take of MJ’s “Beat It”). They should be playing that here.

“Weird Al” Yankovic is the king of parody songs, with a multi-decade career that includes four Grammys, countless Top 40 hits, and a long list of live shows, including 2019’s Strings Attached Tour. But how is he with spicy food? Find out as the “White & Nerdy” icon takes on the vegan wings of death in a very special Hot Ones season finale. As the Scovilles mount, Weird Al shares classic anecdotes about meeting Sir Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, getting co-signed by Kurt Cobain, and inventing the infamous Twinkie wiener sandwich.

DL Hughley on Kevin Hart Quitting The Oscars: F**k ‘Em If They Can’t Take A Joke (Video)

Interesting angle, or at least an interesting way to say it… D.L. defends the right to say something dumb… especially when it is ‘part of the business’ (saying he would never apologize for ‘telling a joke’).

In this clip, D.L. Hughley gave his take on the Kevin Hart x Oscars situation. Hughley said he would’ve never apologized like Hart eventually did. D.L. also gave his take on the LGBTQ community stating that they are becoming bullies. He said that no one should be immune to jokes being made about them. Hughley went on to break down how humor is central to humanity.
DJ Vlad

Now, D.L. and Vlad do agree with what I always say. You are free to say WHATEVER you want, but you do have to face the repercussions that come of it.

Bill Duke Speaks On The Importance Of Following Your Dreams (Video)

How do you live a life of fulfillment… of passion? That, ladies and gentlemen, is THE question. Understanding that is the keystone of your time here, or it should be.

Bill Duke spoke to VladTV about choosing happiness overstability with his acting career, as he explained that he watched too many people in his family work in jobs they hated and die soon after retiring. He went on to speak about teaching kids in his foundation about the entertainment business and encouraging them to use the internet to put their talents out and not wait to be discovered. Bill also spoke about his upcoming and current projects, including Black Lightning on the CW, Mandy starring Nicolas Cage, and High Flying Bird, which director Steven Soderbergh filmed entirely on an iPhone 8.
– Vlad TV

Pee Wee Kirkland Left The Court To Become A Kingpin In The Drug Game (Video)

Surely you know something about the dual life lived by hood icon Pee Wee Kirkland. At least you’ve heard that rap line “Legend in two games [like] Pee Wee Kirkland.” Basketball was one game. VICE will give us the real deep scoop on Pee Wee’s second.

Richard “Pee Wee” Kirkland began playing basketball in the streets of Harlem when he was 9-years-old. By age 13, he split his time between playing ball and committing robberies to help finance a growing drug empire.

In college, Kirkland was the 1968 MVP for Norfolk State, turning down an offer from UCLA to play alongside Kareem Abdul Jabaar. Kirkland was then drafted by the Chicago Bulls but turned down their offer when he realized he could make more money in the drug game than the basketball game. With law enforcement on his tail, Kirkland found himself behind bars twice between 1971 and 1988. From there, he made a change, becoming a motivational speaker and inspiring young, inner-city athletes to take a different path out than he did.

Wondering if each of the respective generations of listeners of these versions of “Fight The Power” knows about the other… Bet they do. Kind of cool even if they don’t, since NPR put this doc together #YouMustLearn
