Akua Naru is a female emcee based out of Cologne Germany. Her new single The World Is Listening is a homage to female voices in hip hop who pioneered the way despite often being overshadowed by their male counterparts. There are so many talented female voices in hip hop it’s just the mainstream have yet to catch on to the many women doing it well. The World Is Listening was produced by the Germany production team JR & PH7 & a remix was done by Jay Baez. The World Is Listening is the first single from Akua Naru’s upcoming album called ‘The Journey AfLame’ due on 1/11/11. Check her video for BACKFLIP after the jump.
