This joint – off the upcoming album “Champagne and Styrofoam Cups” (due out November 20, 2012) – features K-Young… and the beat is just what you’d expect. West Coast rap artist & 1/4 of the Black Hippy crew, Jay Rock releases this dope remake of the hip hop classic ‘Back In The Days’ made popular by fellow Cali rap artist Ahmad. Usually when artists do remakes of popular records it doesn’t always go over too well, but this new joint produced by Komplex delivers for anyone with a good ear for music. You don’t even have to be familiar with the original version to appreciate this joint right here but it’s always good to go back. This song will be a part of the upcoming free Treacherous Records compilation called “The Mint Room” due July 17th.
