Black Milk – “Don Cornelius”

With the news of the death of the legendary host of Soul Train Don Cornelius, I was immediately reminded of Detroit producer & emcee Black Milk’s song “Don Cornelius” which was leaked on the web back in 2010. The song felt like it wasn’t completely finished, but now would be the time for Black Milk to possibly rearrange the words a little, but the sample & chorus of “Keep Your Lighters Up” would make all the sense in the world. For now let’s rewind this joint back for the Don….. Love, Peace, & Soul!

There’s this black guy that’s ALWAYS in the crowd at Rockefeller Plaza in the Today show. I turn it on and the kids i always yell “SuperFly!!!!” when we spot him. I reference him as Don Cornelius.
