8Ball x MJG – “Timeless” (Video)

Rookies and OG’s alike need to watch out…

No doubt. The words of MJG (an OG himself) are dope and true, especially given this latest effort from him and 8Ball. Whatever lit that fire back under the duo to get back on it and drop visual after visual is a good thing! I’m liking the recent product they are putting out. Like their rhymes have always been, 8Ball and MJG are “Timeless.”

8Ball – “Room 306” feat. Keelyn Ellis (Video)

Dope on several levels. One, Memphis’ 8Ball is still out here doing it for the Dirty South. Then two, what he is doing it for in this piece.

This video was inspired by the last hours of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life which was spent in Room 306 at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, April 4th, 1968. I depicted myself as the shooter because in 2018 we are killing ourselves and each other.

Deep right? Check it out above.

8Ball & MJG Feat Big K.R.I.T- “We Buy Gold”

“We Buy Gold” is the definition “Southern Playalistic Cadillac Funky Music”, if you didn’t already know. You can hop in your car with this playing and ride off your last $4 in gas and not flinch ,this joint is that smooth. Big K.R.I.T cooks up a very melodic beat that meshes perfectly with legendary Memphis emcee’s 8Ball and MGJ, who lyrics encompasses laid back life in the South. With a lot of the focus on very big sounding crunk style beats, Southern Hip Hop needs more of this type of music, and hopefully this is a sign of us getting it soon.
