Without a doubt this is one of my favorite rap songs of the past year off Wale’s latest album “Ambition”. Not only does the song sound dope from a production standpoint, but Wale, Rick Ross, & Meek Mill seem to capture the stress of the average black man trying to make in it America. Far too often people see all the successes but forget the struggle to get to those trophies. This song is about every man who has some ambition to be greater than their immediate conditions. It’s no secret why I was bangin’ this song out on my radio show….

I’ve had this song on repeat several times since hearing it for the first time last night. “Ambition” is the title track to Wale’s new album dropping on Tuesday November 1st. Not only the does the production feel really warm & fits the mood, but the lyrics from three different brothas from different backgrounds with hopes & aspirations really comes across well.
