Mos Def Yasiin Bey let’s loose this “Bey” track in honor of the birthday of his fellow Brooklynite & fallen emcee The Notorious B.I.G. who would have turned 40 today. The track is a feature for Yasiin’s “Top 40 Underdog” series. The instrumental track of choice used by Yasiin was made popular by Lil Wayne & Rick Ross for their collaborative strip club favorite called “John” (If I Die Tonight).

I like Mos Def Yasiin Bey’s version of Kanye & Jay’s “N*ggas In Paris” song quite possibly because one of my favorite artists not only displays his superior skills but he’s really saying something meaningful.
