Yep. Childish Gambino’s folks hit up RiRi on IG and she was like… “Guava Island”… yeah, let’s do it!

“Guava Island,” a short film produced by Donald Glover (AKA Childish Gambino) and starring Rihanna, aired at this year’s Coachella. The movie takes place in Cuba, and features many Childish Gambino songs, including “Feels Like Summer.” The standout scene was his remake of his “This Is America” music video specifically for the film. We spoke with the leading producers on the project to see how Guava Island came to life. The full movie is currently available on Amazon Video.
