R&B: Estelle – “Be In Love” feat. Jeremih

estelle-jeremih-be-in-love-single-leadAs a fan of reggae/dancehall & dub music I can really appreciate when good singers get together over this type of island breezy production. British singer Estelle enlists fellow R&B singer Jeremih to get down with her on this “Be In Love” track from her upcoming “Love & Happiness: Vol. 2 Waiting To Exhale” EP that will be released on her own label imprint New London Records.  I’m feeling the latest push by a number of true R&B/Soul singers taking chances with more island style production in their music.

R&B: Jeremih – “Love Hangover” (Prod. By Pop x Oak)

Jeremih dropped this jawn “Love Hangover” (produced by Pop & Oak). His “Thumpy Johnson” LP is on the way… supposedly. The project’s “machine” has sputtered so far; but there’s still time left in the year. And evidenced by this track, there is still much good music to be heard from J.

R&B: Jeremih – “773 Love”

Chicago vocalist Jeremih delivers really good R&B record called “773 Love” that was initially featured on his “Late Nights” mixtape. Producer Mike Will Made It provides the appropriate soundscape for the Chi-town area code “773” themed track. The vibe at times reminds me of some past records Atlanta based artist The-Dream may have done, but either way it’s still a pretty solid & seductive R&B record. Jeremih needs to shoot a video for this joint like asap. We recommend Rosa Acosta as perfect choice for a female lead…

R&B: Jeremih – “Keep It Moving” (featuring Marcus Fench)

Chicago native Jeremih drizzles all kinds of smoothness over a laid-back track in “Keep It Moving,” the latest release off his upcoming mixtape “Late Nights.”  The song features a familiar sample that A Tribe Called Quest may have used for their popular hit “Electric Relaxation”.  The cut features a verse from Marcus French, whose most notable industry credit came from co-writing the hit “Birthday Sex.” You can ride out with this joint, or you can call someone over and stay in. Good music.

Wale – “That Way” feat. Jeremih & Rick Ross (Video)

I dug this song the very first time I heard it & I’m still not tired of it. I’m largely drawn to the instrumentation & Jeremih’s lyrics & vocal tone on the hook. This song feels like a Rick Ross song more than Wale’s but it’s all Maybach Music Group anyway. The visuals look good too….
