North Carolina emcee Rapper Big Pooh just dropped this very dope banger produced by Astronote. The European based producer Astronote has been on my radar for a minute after crafting some very dope soundscapes in the last year or so. This joint is the perfect backdrop for Rapper Big Pooh to lament on the people we all call “Friends”. How many of us have them right? Sounds like a few shots being aimed at some of his former friends that he doesn’t exactly name in the track. This banger will appear on Rapper Big Pooh’s upcoming project Fat Boy Fresh Volume 2 due to drop November 20th….

Rapper Big Pooh was interviewed by WellVersed/2Dopeboyz during the SXSW festival back in March. The most interesting piece of information from this interview was Rapper Big Pooh speaking on flying out to Cali to work with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul & the rest of the TDE camp before they really got popular. Unlike most rap artists who may get all ‘Hollywood’ on other artists who may not be known or have any sort of status in the game yet, Rapper Big Pooh made it clear that he was always interested in working with anyone with talent.

This is pretty dope joint that will be featured on Consequence’s upcoming ‘Movies On Demand 3’ mixtape that will drop in the coming days. I like the lineup of emcees he’s chosen to get down with on this track in Elzhi, Rapper Big Pooh. Not familiar with Tannie J, but her contribution makes the song dope. This track was also produced by The Produce Section who also crafted a few dope bangers for Atlanta based emcee BIGREC.

Underground Hip Hop Vet & Little Brother alumnus, Rapper Big Pooh, drops this new mixtape as an appetizer for fans in anticipation for his forthcoming digital EP entitled FatBoyFresh Vol. 1: For Members Only. Mixed by DJ Flash and hosted by Statik Selektah, the one-track, “old-school style†mix blends segments from 14 of the 19 new and previously-released cuts set to appear on the EP.
Guest appearances on the project include such artists as Stat Quo, Posdnuos of De La Soul, Naledge of Kidz In the Hall and Glasses Malone. Perfect for Valentines Day….I like hood chicks too but not too hood though…..Nah trust me man I don’t need Cleo from ‘Set If Off’ son…..I’m good….Dope song though. Novel is an soulfully underrated talent in the game though. I enjoyed some of the stuff he did with Joell Ortiz too. Make sure yall look for his upcoming album ‘Calligraphy’ dropping sometime this year.
