Although Skillz has been touring the world as DJ Jazzy Jeff’s hypeman as documented in their Vinyl Destination web series, the Virgina emcee has been spending plenty of time in Atlanta if you’ve noticed occasionally from his twitter page. Just like the sound of Skillz’s “2012 Rap Up” his new video & single “I’m Outchea” off of his latest album “Thoughts Become Things” is a musical indication of this ATL/southern based influence from a production standpoint if you were to ask me.

Skillz – “Tryin’ To Get By”

I thought I saw the emcee that put Virginia on the map mention on twitter that he’d soon be releasing his last studio album. Skillz has become widely known for his year-end wrap ups every year that people have grown accustomed to around this time of year. This time around Skillz will release his new album “Thoughts Become Things” on December 26 & it will include his “2012 Rap Up” on the project. For now peep the brand new single that just dropped called “Tryin’ To Get By” produced by District 9 & featuring a young lady by the name of Carmael below…

Virginia’s invincible Mad Skillz (just going by Skillz nowadays) is back with another one! He leaks the first single off what he has declared to be his last studio album, “Thoughts Become Things.” This crunk-infused joint – entitled “Bring the Sparklers Out” – can be streamed right here right now.
