You see the title, and I know you thought what I thought… Konshens better not be trying to ‘slick bite’ off Beenie Man and Mya’s “Girl Dem Sugar” or else. But hold up, you get into the music (which is good) and the video (yup, that good-good), and realize that it kinda is. However, I took this as Konshens’ channeling of the essence of that Beenie–Mya. Massive cool dancehall is the result. Nice!
Jamaican reggae and dancehall artiste Konshens presents the official music vide for his 2016 single, “Gal Dem Sugar,” directed by RD Studios and G. Spence. Filmed on location in Jamaica.

Another hype music video that showcases the energy and dance steps that make Caribbean music spread over the globe. This video even starts off with Konshens actual mother doing a lil cameo (good touch). Remember we had an interview with Konshens and the ‘Do Something’ theme is not to physically clash or war with anybody but just take it to the dancehfloor.
