The twin-wing Tsunami Flood Barrier (TWSB) has been developed by Van den Noort Innovations in order to disrupt and neutralize a tsunami flood wave.

I cannot begin to explain the tech behind this much needed innovation… because I… I don’t really understand it yet. But while I’m watching this again with you, let’s look at the big picture: This is science applied for the purpose of saving lives and livelihoods. Good tech. This massive concrete-and-steel barrier, designed to weaken tsunami waves and protect vulnerable cities, is actually activated and powered entirely by the force of the tsunami itself. Implementation of this Van den Noort innovation could ensure that no one even need put their lives at risk to activate it when deadly waves approach.
