One of the more promising independent films being screened at the Sundance Film Festival from January 19-29th this year is a story about an ex-con played by Common who is “Uncle Vincent” to his nephew, played by Michael Rainey Jr., who had just become an orphan. Common takes his young nephew with him on a business trip that spirals him right back down the deadly path he’s been trying to avoid in the first place.
