X-Men: Apocalypse (Trailer)

If you’ve kept up with the Marvel over the years then you’d probably come to the same conclusion as I have that the actor Oscar Isaac portraying the villain “Apocalypse” doesn’t, by all appearances, seem like the proper person for the role. However the actress Alexandra Shipp who will play “Storm” in the film does appear to look the part.  Just my two cents.  We all know the keys to make the film successful is the acting, direction, & the script. We’ll see this summer.  I’m looking forward to Memorial Day weekend when X-Men: Apocalypse is in theaters on May 27th, 2016.

“Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”

Independence Day: Resurgence (Trailer)

Will Smith doesn’t appear in the sequel to the 1996 original “Independence Day” film that officially launched his career as an action hero, but director Roland Emmerich brings back Vivica A. Fox, Jeff Goldblum & adds Liam Hemsworth to pick up the slack 20 years later. Will the sequel be better than the original without the Fresh Prince? We’ll see this Summer on June 24th, 2016…..about 2 weeks before Independence Day.

“We always knew they were coming back. After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.”

Star Trek Beyond (Trailer)

This Summer, once again, seems like it’s going to be a good one with the slate of big budget films scheduled to be released in 2016. The 3rd sequel to the latest Star Trek films continue to go where no man has gone before with “Star Trek Beyond” due to hit the theaters this summer on July 22nd with actor Idris Elba supposedly playing the villain role in this one. There shouldn’t be anyway for director Justin Lin to “Sabotage” this one. Word to the Beastie Boys

World Soccer Legend Cristiano Ronaldo Is The Focus Of New Film “Ronaldo” (Video)

Some people regard you as the greatest player of your Sport.  Numerous women call you handsome and rush just to be in your presence. You make at least 60 to 70,000 dollars/pounds/euros a WEEK. You have some of the biggest endorsements in Sports and your home country adores you like no other.  How does that sound as a life to live?  I think most would take that and Cristiano Ronaldo (Footballer/Soccer Player) for Real Madrid (club) and Portugal (national team) has all of that and more.

What we don’t get to see is the countless hours away from family. As much love you get from fans you get just as much hate worldwide.  Sacrificing joy and childhood to be the best at a Sport.  Fearing that you might do the same with your own children.  The pressure that is put all on your shoulders regardless of how good or bad your team plays each week.  This new Universal feature film scheduled in theaters November 9th 2015 (see what they did there? 9th?) details all of this. The joys and the hardships of being a worldwide phenomenom, heartthrob, and sports icon.  Check out this trailer to get a glimpse into the life of #9 Ronaldo!

Hidden Colors 4: The Religion of White Supremacy (Trailer)

Well when it comes to movies or documentaries about Black History a majority of them deal with the same Civil Rights struggle or blacks in slavery stories.  Both are part of Black history but not the only story and the Hidden Colors documentary series has done a great job covering information/history.  The first three have been critically acclaimed with subtitles like “The Triumph of Melanin” & “The Rules of Racism” with the latest installment titled “The Religion of White Supremacy” that should be released later this year.  Tariq Nasheed the creator & director of the Hidden Colors series has already confirmed speakers like Dr. Umar Johnson, Dr. Francis Cress Welding & Phil Valentine who have all participated in the first three.  He has promise some new speakers with this upcoming edition.  If you watched Hidden Colors three you saw how he surprised us by having the rappers Nas & David Banner discussing Racism.  Who know he might have them back and other surprise rappers.  Here is a link to a kickstarter that he has for the funding of volume 4 Click Here.

San Andreas (Teaser Trailer)

“Where will you be, who will you be with, when everything falls apart?”

Coming this summer is the brand new disaster earthquake film “San Andreas” starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. What should make this epic film frightening for many on the West Coast is the very real likelihood a disaster of this magnitude will take place because the San Andreas fault line runs underneath much of California. I’ve even heard & watched seismic experts say it’s not a question of “if”, but it’s a question of ‘When’ it will happen. Hopefully it doesn’t occur before the movie hits theaters on May 29, 2015.

“After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter.

But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning. And when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started.” – San Andreas Movie

Terminator: Genisys (Trailer)

The Terminator sequels continue with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but with a new cast of individuals to take up the roles of Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) &  Reese (Jai Courtney).  Directed by Alan Taylor, the film also stars Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, Byung-Hun Lee, & JK Simmons. In this particular Terminator film the timeline of events in the original story has been altered due to a decision by Sarah that alters the course of time as the war continues. Not sure how this particular Terminator film will pan out, but we’ll see once it hits theaters this summer on July 1, 2015.

Star Wars: Episode VII – “The Force Awakens” (Teaser Trailer)

Check out a brief teaser trailer to the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII – ‘The Force Awakens’ directed by J.J. Abrams & due in theaters December of 2015. Most of us grew into adults with all of the Star Wars saga the George Lucas created, so it’s great to see they are restarting the series about 30 years into the future from where “Return Of The Jedi (Episode VI)” left off back in 1983. I like that new title too…. ‘The Force Awakens’. Yeah they have my attention….. The JAYFORCE awakens.

Godzilla (International Film Trailer)

It’s big & it’s coming to SMASH into theaters May 16th.  It’s the return of what is arguably the most iconic monster in the history of film. The return of Godzilla. There’s not much more that’s revealed involving the plot & storyline to this movie reboot other than it’s implied that Godzilla could quite possibly be tangling against a number of other monsters that may have been created due to man’s arrogance & scientific ignorance.

“An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.”Legendary Pictures (Godzilla 2014)

World War Z (Movie Trailer)

Check out this new extended trailer for the upcoming big budget summer film starring Brad Pitt called ‘World War Z’. These new zombie flicks sometimes makes you wonder if Hollywood is getting us prepared for something that could actually happen.  The premise of the film centers around Brad Pitt who plays a worker for the U.N. desperately trying to find out why an apocalyptic pandemic of zombie outbreaks are bringing down entire nations around the world.  Before you laugh at the thought that any of this could be even remotely possible you may want to read about how countries like Russia are reportedly working on weapons that can turn people into zombies.  Now that’s a possible horror story. World War Z hits theaters June 21st….
