Although there were plenty of videos that surfaced on the web focusing on Philly’s largest summer festival & the many performers that graced the stage, The Roots crew’s Okayplayer team dropped a high quality recap over the weekend. As a Philly native it’s amazing for me to see what the The Roots annual picnic on Festival Pier on Penn’s Landing has grown into. The Roots continue to make me proud to be from Philly not only for the music they present to the world, but in the many ways they reach back for Philly artists, Philly fans, the city, & the community at large.
