Sacramento emcee Chuuwee unleashes another quality hip hop joint called “Navigation” produced by Pete Pine. This pretty dope smoothed out joint will appear on his upcoming project “Wildstyle!: B Side” that’s due March 21st. Definitely feeling this joint right here & gonna have to give it some run on my radio show. This song is about checking your navigation while driving and reminds us why we should pay more attention on the road. It’s sort of a cool metaphor for life itself if you connect the dots to it.

Chuuwee – “Lottery Ticket”

One of the illest newcomers by way of Sacramento, Chuuwee is back with some new heat but this time he enlists the help of The Drum Addictz production team for “Lottery Ticket” which flips the classic “The Price Is Right” tv show theme. Back in the day Masta Ace’s running partner & producer Lord Digga was the first I remember to flip that sample very well for his 1998 underground gem “My Flows Is Tight” joint, but Chuuwee’s lyricism & the Drum Addictz do a good job with their own take too. Apparently this joint will appear on Chuuwee’s upcoming mixtape “Crown Me King” due April 24th….

Sacramento emcee Chuuwee is definitely one of the young newcomers in Hip Hop that I’m definitely keeping an eye on. I’m looking forward to his upcoming show in Atlanta so I can peep his live stage performance. I’m hoping to be as impressed with his live performance as I was with his “Watching The Throne” street album. I even banged out several key songs like “Dolla Bill Cosby”, “Cold World”, & “Trappist Monk” from the project on the Beatz & Lyrics Show regularly. Sacramento representative Chuuwee has joined forces with The DJBooth, Amalgam Digital and Fly Society to bring fans his latest street release, the Watching the Throne free album. A concept album following the reign and fall of a newly-crowned “king,†the project features 20 original cuts from the buzzmaking emcee. Included on the tracklist are previously-featured, reader-approved cuts “Re-Siege the Thrown†and “Joe Jackson (A Tyrant’s Rage).â€
Joining Chuuwee on the guest tip throughout Watching the Throne are Sundown (of Actual Proof), Sean Boog, Makeshift, Keno, Haz Solo, PCH, Abstract Ninjaa. All production comes courtesy of Canadian beatsmith ENG, except on “Feast!†(produced by Goldenchild) and “Stones & Crowns†(produced by Freddie Joachim).
