Wiz Khalifa – “Promises” [Video]

Some ’round the way’ chill sh!t from Wiz K. Of course, you can light one to it, but this has a soft touch…audio and visually. Chilling, ballin’ on the court with the homies, then baby doll walks up. Niceness. Enjoy this “Promises” joint (produced by Jim Jonsin), and enjoy the rest of your day. iTunes has the LP “Blacc Hollywood” album available for pre-order (in advance of its August 19, 2014 release).

Lecrae – “All I Need Is You”

artworks-000087120206-0xlg9f-t500x500

To say this is Lecrae’s latest, entitled “All I Need Is You,” would be simplistic but true. And we would miss a fundamental shift in the music buying base at iTunes. This jawn (you listen and judge, but I think it’s cool) is music by a professed Christian artist (or emcee-who-happens-to-be-Christian… either way) that went number 1 on iTunes. Lecrae’s LP “Anomaly” (due out September 9, 2014) is just that apparently; what could be called gospel Hip-Hop going to the top in a non-gospel category. Go look for yourself via the iTunes pre-order link (and stream the single) below. Give it a listen.

In a career spanning over a decade THX has openly embraced every genre of music which, fuels his own diverse creative output. Influenced by the clean and tight production of DJ Quik, the ingenuity of Moby and Mark Ronson, as well as Rick Rubin’s constant re-invention, THX has grown to a consummate producer and as such has had the good fortune to work with artists including Busta Rhymes, Chris Brown, E-40, The Clipse, David Banner, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Problem, just to name a few.
