Ras Kass – “Soul On Ice 2: Instrumentals” (Album)

Okay! Now we got an artist thinking of other artists (and wannabe emcees) in this damned Coronaviral Era in which we find ourselves house-arrested in. From Ras’ house to yours, via the Interwebs, you are blessed with your OWN copy of the instrumentals for his latest album. So, now what?! What’chu gonna do?

As for me… I’m listening and bopping to the beats. Like, now, because how often will we get something this dope at this price (FREE.99)???

Cali legend Ras Kass has decided to release the instrumentals to his newest album “Soul On Ice 2” today. To make things better, he’s giving them away free all week so that people locked down on Covid-19 house arrest have something fresh to write to.

DSharp x Ezinma – “The Box” (Violin Version) [Video]

Something about adding some violin to a banging azz Hip-Hop track makes it that more of a banger, right? Yup! Like this what DSharp & Ezinma (sexy, WOW!) did with the booming Roddy Ricch jawn right here. Such FLAVOR!

Don’t you love when worlds collide in a beautiful way?! I had the pleasure of linking with the #ClassicalBae herself, Ezinma and we put together this little dual violin cover of Roddy RicchThe Box!

Check ittt

Lex Boogie From the Bronx – “Live From Lexington Station Season 1” (Instrumental) [Mixtape]

Another goodie in the inbox!

Dirty Drum Academy Alum Lex Boogie From the Bronx hits us with a new series of instrumental/beat tapes; the first installment of which entitled “Live From Lexington Station Season 1.”

Inspired by life and the ability to create I decided to put some of my energy into a series of beat tapes.

As a creator, I needed an outlet to just have fun and make some incredible music. In the studio, a lot of ideas get tossed around and never see the light of the day with this series it allows me to share some of these ideas/beats that come from experimentation practice or just a good vibe in the studio.

As always, shout to Lex for keeping us in the loop with the beat loop projects like this. Enjoy!

Statik Selektah – “Mahalo” (The Hawaii Instrumentals) [EP]

This week on Juice Appeal, it’s the ‘BELOVED’ duo! What in the anime is this??! Well, for one, shiz iz CRAY! But so is the crazy beat the video accompanies. Haaa! But hey, it’s from Ski Beatz. Respek on his name (a quick trip back through the archives on here will teach you why).

His 10-track project, “Switched On Bap,” is out now.

André 3000 – “Look Ma No Hands”

André Tré Stacks on bass clarinet with James Blake playing the piano. Vibe music. But still different than other Dré you’ve heard. Still keeping us listening and interested.

Dropped this extended play track on Mother’s Day, too, along with that “Me & My” song.

Info56 – “Southwest” feat. DJ Dez (Video)

Know how you have come across something nearing perfection? Answer: You struggle to find that one thing to nitpick, then you pick the hell out of it until it bleeds like an old dry scab!

This Info56 x DJ Dez collabo is the perfect case in point. Instrumental excellence, pepper perfectly with a precise amount of scratch-tastic dopeness… and all I can think about was the chef at the beginning doing up the bacon ‘n eggs… “SON! Do NOT dig your FINGER off in my egg yolk, SON. I’m VERY serious about my breakfast (not that serious for real, but still, haha)!”

(But the music, off the “Southwest” LP, is VERY dope.)

The Re-Collective Orchestra presents a re-imagination of Black Panther’s title track, “All The Stars” with an original orchestration by Matt Jones. Inspired by the iconic black superhero, Matt Jones (Composer/Conductor, Founder of the Matt Jones Orchestra) and Stephanie Matthews (Violinist and Founder of StringCandy) joined forces to bring together a collective of musicians that would create a sonically and visually powerful statement: WE ARE HERE.

Black Milk – “True Lies”

Let’s slide one more in before Black Milk drops that heater “Fever” on us to bring the Spring. “True Lies” goes IN with the groove. You can chill, but the beat-and-chant track won’t let you get ‘comfortable’ over there. Ha!

But enjoy it though.

Tall Black Guy – “A Franklin Black Excursion” (EP)

Always interesting to see where producers ‘go’ when they let their minds wander. Rhythm Roulette would not have done this justice. Didn’t really even know it was going down like this ’til TBG hit us in the inbox with a note that the cooking was done and the plate was served. Truly an “Excursion”… Go on the trip with him.

Koji The Bandit – “Never Enough” (Instrumental Album)

Not our normal musical fare, but this artist’s story though…

I never want to be so focused on an artist’s work that I ignore their worth as a fellow human being. Looks like in this write-up, that this bunch of banging beats was borne of a life journey that involved pain. I appreciate that: It is the burden of many artists (some we lost as a result). I also hope things looked up or will soon…

One night, I was sitting in my car, completely hopeless about life. Smoking a Black & Mild, in April, my life in limbo. I had no idea what I was going to do, and I was losing confidence in what I can do musically. I was about to give up. It seemed like anything I tried to do to get myself in a better situation, whether a potential job, music opportunity, etc., it was #neverenough. Fast forward to now, after doing a mentorship with Don Cannon and collaborating with him for my first major placement with Lil Durk, I’m honestly still not certain where this will take me…I pray that God will show me a way out of uncertainty with my life with this instrumental project. This is a tale of happiness, sadness, love, life, and glory. I present to you, “Never Enough.” #robothouse.

The Alchemist – “French Blends” (Pt. 2) [Album]

Damn. A-L-C plays NO games when it comes to the dopest beats and blends, does he? That question is rhetorical. He absolutely does NOT play. You will hear that as soon as you press play. FREE streaming of the steaming hot “French Blends” (Pt. 2) served below!

15 Minute Hip-Hop Instrumental Medley By An Ochestra (Video)

Remember a good while back when we posted on Sir Mix-A-Lot performing with the symphony orchestra backing him (here)? Not quite like that but it sort of is… for me. Music I love done by folks who love a different kind of music. Dopeness, with crossover appeal! Check this out.
