Magnum as a Hip-Hop selecta. How about that? Guess this is like a ‘protect something other than your neck’ type project.

Pusha T – “Numbers On The Boards” (Video)

Pusha T’s latest single “Numbers On The Boards” produced by Kanye West & Don Cannon is one of my favorite hip hop joints to have been released as of late. Been bangin it out on my radio show religiously since we posted it up on this site about a month ago. While out in Paris France with Kanye West they shot a brand new video for the single that’s expected to appear on V.A. lyricist’s upcoming solo album entitled “My Name Is My Name” due July 16th. These are the types of heaters I thoroughly enjoy to hear from Pusha T.  It’s that dopeness that makes you screw your face up something nasty! Warning: May cause CRAZY reactions.

Tez McClain x Don Cannon: The Making Of The “Wishing Thinking Vol. 2” Mixtape (Video)

Earlier this evening, Atlanta emcee Tez McClain had his official listening party for the Wishful Thinking Vol. 2 mixtape hosted by Don Cannon at Diddy’s famed Justin’s restaurant here in Atlanta. Great turnout & many familiar faces from the Atlanta music scene were in the place as Tez walked the crowd through various tracks on the mixtape & his thought process going into each joint. Probably my favorite joint I heard played was called “2 Minutes Of Game” which Tez, at one point, stopped the music & spit it acapella for the crowd at Justin’s. Tez McClain’s “Wishful Thinking Vol. II” mixtape is scheduled to drop tomorrow January 24th. For now just check out the track “2 Minutes Of Game” I was telling y’all about & this behind the scenes footage of Tez McClain working with Don Cannon on the joint. Shout out to the homie Glamito & the whole team over there…

Estelle – ‘Break My Heart’ feat. Rick Ross (prod by Don Cannon)

The UK singer links up with another ‘American Boy’ by way of Miami for this new track produced by DJ Don Cannon. The combination of the Bawse Rick Ross, the production, & Estelle’s vocals seem to mesh well for this joint. It’s her first single from her third album entitled ‘All Of Me’ scheduled to drop this year.

Embassy Music Board – The 400 Lounge (Mixtape)

Embassy Music Board has been doing their thing in Atlanta for a minute & taking their time to put out the right records at just the right time. The Atlanta natives with caribbean influences/backgrounds have been able to weave in & out of a variety of sounds rather than relying on the popular 808 beat tracks that most new southern rap artists tend to gravitate towards in search of immediate mainstream acceptance. The last time the EMB brothas appeared on my radio show they stressed the importance of the right timing & pushing the correct records. I had been playing the ‘Dead Music’ track on the show but they didn’t just randomly give away too much on the internet beyond that song before the entire project was ready. Evidently the new project is poised to be served up for the fans with the help of Don Cannon on this DJ version of the new mixtape in conjunction with DJBooth.net. Tracklisting under the hood……..Welcome to the 400 Lounge…..
