As we do every time on the radio we launched our ‘air assault’ with nothing but quality new & exclusive hip hop music then Carmen Breezy & Odell spoke on their experiences attending the Rick Ross album listening party at TreeSound Studios for his latest project ‘Mastermind’, & we were joined by a few special guests for interviews during the show.

This week music journalist & film director Rahiem Shabazz stopped by to talk about his new documentary called ‘Elementary Genocide’ that tackles the prison industrial complex problem & it’s wildly conspicuous path from the classroom to the jail cell.

Our second guest on the show was Brooklyn, New York hip hop artist BK Brasco. The Brownsville, Brooklyn native delivered some insight on his background, spoke with us about traveling the world while working with producer Timbaland & collaborating with artists like Pusha T, Mario, & Stacy Barthe while shedding more insight on his new project called “18th Floor Thompson Hotel”

Roundtable Discussion On “Elementary Genocide” (Video)

Remember that documentary trailer we posted last year with Supreme Understanding (Activist/Author) dropping that insight? Well, it’s out now. Standing room only at the premiere screening of “Elementary Genocide” in Atlanta (Georgia, USA). After the screening, a roundtable discussion headed by Supreme Understanding and other panelists Dr. Torrance Stephens (professor, Clark Atlanta University), Tracey Syphax (Author/Activist), Stone Erickson (Teen Sci-Fi Author of the Year), Kalonji Changa (Community Organizer/Author) and Edward Garnes, Jr. (Educator).

Elementary Genocide (Documentary Trailer)

“They’ve done studies…If you are illiterate in 3rd or 4th grade, then it’s very likely you will be in prison… You mean to tell me that people who decided on where to build a prison, how to build a prison, or when to build a prison didn’t look at the research? They had to look at something…of course!”

Supreme Understanding, Author/Activist

Executive produced by award winning journalist/filmmaker Rahiem Shabazz, “Elementary Genocide” addresses how the federal government allots money to each state to build prions based on the failure rate of 4th and 5th graders! In America, half of all 4th graders read below grade level, and more Black men are going to jail than are going to college. Compelling content, including interviews and voice-over narration from professors, teachers, best selling authors, celebrities, and more.
