RIP Prince


The Rock Soul R&B Funk Pop music world was rocked to its mantle and core today as news of the passing of a legend spread: The Purple Rocker, Prince, suddenly left this earthly plane today. Details are still being revealed, and we certainly need the time to process the information and our feelings; but we have the gist. We know, sadly, the mourning can begin.

Only now can we truly know what it will be like to hear ‘that’ Prince song/album/collection, knowing that he is no longer with us. At least with Prince… He knew… he HAD to know… that he was and will forever be loved & admired by millions; and acclaimed at every strata of the industry – casual listener to sternest critic. Prince Rogers Nelson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born to make music, make a ruckus, and make history. What a life! You did that and lived that, Sire. Thank you blessing and bringing us along all these years. And now Your Royal Badness, rest in peace.

The documentary is hosted by Doug E. Fresh and features in-depth interviews with Eddie Murphy, Russell Simmons and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels – all speaking on the career and greatness of PE.
