Now my music’s my temple of worship, so come praise.

Beautiful. Yes, she is. But BARZ though! Feeling this subdued ‘robo-flow’ jawn that Sa-Roc is bringing to us.

Sa-Roc – “The Who?” featuring David Banner (Prod. Sol Messiah) [Video]

A dope joint should have a dope video. It’s only right. Thus, the degree of dopeness for “The Who?” (produced by Sol Messiah). Sa-Roc and David Banner star. Respect to Bad Magics for hipping me to this.

Sa-Roc – “The Who?” featuring David Banner (Prod. Sol Messiah)

“The Who?” takes a realer-than-real look at Black history, with David Banner dropping a 16 as Patrice Lumumba, the Congolese freedom fighter who helped his country win independence from Belgium in 1960 and became the first democratically-elected Prime Minister, before being executed by Belgian-backed secessionists in 1961. Sa-Roc seals the deal over the Sol Messiah track to whet appetites for Sa-Roc forthcoming “Nebuchadnezzar” LP.

Queens At The Roundtable: Atlanta’s Female Emcees (Video)

Our homegirl Ms. Dia who also does a radio show on our radio station WRFG Atlanta, hosted a roundtable discussion with some of Atlanta’s most promising female emcees putting in work in the in the music scene. Skills first. For the full written transcript check out Creative Loafing.

Vicious Cycle – “You People” (Video)

Lately I have been hearing a lot of really good hip hop from female artists. This is a duo from Texas coming with quality production and vicious lyrics. Actually I been hearing these ladies spit better and harder bars than a lot of the male emcee’s. Don’t sleep, these ain’t the typical sexed out, scantly dressed, sell my body, shake my ass for props hip hop from the ladies you maybe used to. Viscous Cycle, along with the likes of Dynasty, Boog Brown, Natee, Stahhr, Sa-Roc, Jean Grae, Eternia, Tiye Phoniex are tearin’ verses to shreads over gutter beats. Yo these ladies swords are sharp…so you better protect yo neck!!
