Damn. That’s a strong lineup. AND L-L-LOOK! It’s StaHHr! She’s ’bout to snap on a track again! That alone was occasion enough for me to take a look-see (and listen). And I am glad I did, because for some who still sleep, this is my opportunity to share some real essence of way back. Boom bap or get slapped. This is Hip-Hop family. So, have a seat and belly up to these BARZ. “B-Boy Bonanza” – buffet of choice lyrics from Eloh Kush & Dus, featuring John Robinson, EL Da Sensi, A.G. (of D.I.T.C.)… and StaHHr with the shutdown verse. Just a bump off that “Angeldus” LP. Dope!
Been a long time since we’ve heard from StaHHr. Good to hear…esp. since she has been keeping the rhyme skills up to par. Here she is teaming with Memphis (Tennessee, USA) producer MaxPtah on the single “Breathless.” You can get that on “Full Range Frequency” (LP).
“First step is love. Missing that, don’t bother.” – staHHr
The HH is for Hip-Hop, and so is staHHr. She definitely got love… from us and always for Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop isn’t her middle name. It’s in the middle of her name! Something so right about staHHr flows over an Astronote beat. The single “Get Right” is off the “Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Season” LP. Lovely visuals above. Directed by Will Feagins, Jr for High Impact Media.
“On My Gonzales” is Atlanta-based mc/lyrical alchemist/DOOM affiliate staHHr’s latest video from her “Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Season” album. Joined by lyrical heavyweights John Robinson (Scienz of Life) and Ekundayo (L.I.U.N.S. Den), the trio lace this Floyd the Locsmif track with clever wordplay, smooth delivery and quotables for days. The title of the song comes from a line in staHHr’s verse, where she coins the phrase “on my Gonzales” in reference to one “being focused, handling biz, doing their job, etc”. Director Nick Burnz interweaves elements of “Golden Era” hip hop with live performance footage, playing off of the organic energy of the song and the undeniable and familial chemistry of staHHr, JR and Ekundayo.”

C-Rayz Walz and StaHHr beat this “Sandalwood” track down with the quickness… literally! Click play, and a minute-and-three-quarters later, you will KNOW what I mean. This quick and clean cut is one of many lethal cuts on the C-Rayz Walz LP entitled “Beat the System” (out now). You can stream the single and cop the LP here.
Emerging from the haze of polluted sound waves comes a breath of fresh air: ‘Essenchill’. Amidst a chilled collective of soulful, jazzy, boom-bap rhythms, flows vitally poignant lyricism, embodying perspectives on meditation, family, and overcoming life’s obstacles. Essenchill will engage listeners of all ages and backgrounds, while still appealing to true hip-hop heads.
The homie Marq Spekt enlists the talents of award winning director Will Feagins, Jr for the visuals to this “Aquamarine” joint from the Philly native’s collaborative album “Machete Vision” with producer Kno of Cunninglynguists. Peeping these visuals its clear to see that Marq Spekt brought along a few of his “School Of Sharks” members for the clip as producer Lex Boogie from the Bronx, emcee H. Pone, & ill female emcee Stahhr make cameos in the clip. Check out the dope video as MarQ Spekt gets ‘deeper than Atlantis’ in this new video…..
Oooohhh! Found THE female emcee, Atlanta’s own StaHHr, getting it in with The Red Giants (Jermiside and Brickbeats) on their mixtape (which we posted on here just a while ago)! Atlanta’s very own ill emcee staHHr has been busy since the “World of Greed” release (posted here)! This is another banger from the Mother of “Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Season” – staHHr (the HH is for Hip-Hop) – entitled “On My Gonzalez” (Verson 1). Tag teaming with John Robinson and Ekundayo…on a Floyd the Locsmif production… this is some off-the-top-rope five-star Hip-Hop. They jumped the track and boom-bap beat it up! Check it out. You can cop a copy… of the single AND the full-length here.
Ptah Ra Tehuti and staHHr go off on the “No Church in the Wild” (see prior Kanye West x Jay-Z post here) beat in this video. Each being a force as individuals, the tandem do solid work here. Enjoy the vid and support both artists who continue to rep the real Hip-Hop fully!

One of Atlanta’s most gifted emcees of the female variety Stahhr drops a new joint produced by Lex Boogie to get fans ready for Molotov Season in April 2012. Having worked with artists like MF Doom & countless others over her career & getting spins on programs like DJ Premier’s Sirius XM satellite radio show she’s now poised to drop her second full length album “Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Season”. StaHHr was most recently featured in the March 2012 issue of The Source magazine, sharing her views on women in hip hop in the “The Plight of the Female MC” article.
By now you should have copped the Beatz & Lyrics 2 Go Vol. 2 A3C mixtape, but if you didn’t you need to go on ahead & download that joint from the link below. New release from Ga-bred producer Floyd the Locsmif. One of the most polished producers I have heard in a long time. This is his third installment of the heavily followed Divine Designz series. This one features StaHHr, J – Live, 4ize, John Robinson, and Ekundayo. This joint skillfully crafted on some avant-garde issh. Next level for sure. Check it out and COP IT!
