Eljay Williams Presents The Soundtrack For His “Pathways” Movie (Mixtape)

Dope movies ought to have dope sounds associated with them, right? Yes. Like this “Pathways” flick. Good movie. Confirmed because the squad saw and approved (you should if you have not already). Now, for the tunes. Listennnn!
All music on this soundtrack either appeared in the film Pathways (Sean’s Lament), has been used to promote the film or has been inspired by the film. These are some of my favorite songs from some of the dope artists I know and were part of my backdrop while writing the film. These artists’ words and sound inspired me and I am grateful that they lent their talents to my dream. Thank you all.

Pharrell Williams wrote, produced, and performed this make-ya-move joint for the “Despicable Me 2” soundtrack. Respect to the direction by We Are From L.A. for getting to the point of dance euphoria by the time the vid is halfway through… dude pop-lockin’ HARD in the road! Watch. How high can one get? Don’t ask! At least, don’t ask Devin The Dude and Coughee Brothaz. Above is their music video for “We Get High,” the first single off the soundtrack to Devin’s new film “Highway.” (co-starring Lil Duvall, Eddie Griffin, and Keith David).
Yeah… I think you get the gist of what’s going on with Devin, this track, and this movie. Ohhh yeaahhh. Hahaaaa! The movie soundtrack is available now via iTunes.

Pusha T x Raekwon x Joell Ortiz – “Tick, Tock”

Pusha T, Raekwon, and Joell Ortiz chip in on this gift for the soundtrack to ‘The Man With The Iron Fists’ (the new Quentin Tarantino movie directed by and starring RZA). Their joint is called “Tick, Tock.” Expect the soundtrack to come out October 23, 2012. The movie is slated to be in theaters November 2, 2012. How do we know? Let’s just say we know folks that told us so. Heck, they even gave us a peek at the tentative track listing for the soundtrack (posted after the jump). Solid!
