Rapsody – “Kind Of Love” feat. Nomsa Mazwai (Video)

North Carolina female emcee Rapsody takes a trip from her native North Kakalaka all the way to Soweto South Africa to show all ‘Kind Of Love’ to the children in her new video directed by Kenneth Price & featuring Nomsa Mazwai on the hook. Perfect timing for the new clip as Rapsody’s new album “The Idea Of Beautiful” just dropped today….

Rapsody – “Believe Me” (Video)

Rapsody is representing ‘lovely’ for the ladies & her native North Cakalaka. It’s fitting that the title of her debut album is called ‘The Idea of Beautiful’ slated to drop August 28th. Check out another example of how the “First Lady of Jamla Records” continues to rep the real in this video for her latest single from the project called “Believe Me.” produced by 9th Wonder. The video of course was directed by their go-to film guy Kenneth Price.

Phonte – “Eternally” feat. Median (Video)

North Carolina emcee & part-time comedian Phonte drops a brand new video directed by Kenneth Price for “Eternally” off of his really dope ‘Charity Starts At Home’ album that’s out now. The video is perfect timing & product placement coinciding with the red vinyl release of his ‘Charity Starts At Home’ album on FE Official. Of course for the video he brings along his fellow NC emcee Median for the ride as they go door to door pushing the importance of Phonte’s ‘Charity Starts At Home’ movement…..

Phonte – “The Good Fight” (Video)

Phonte drops a brand new video directed by Kenneth Price for “The Good Fight” which is one of my favorite songs to bang out on the radio show.  Not only is the subject matter relevant to the times right now, but the production on the track from 9th Wonder snaps too. Phontigallo’s ‘Charity Starts At Home” album was one of our picks for “Best Hip Hop Album Of 2011” & the North Carolina emcee, singer, songwriter, & part-time comedian is keeping the videos coming in 2012 from this incredibly dope album….

Rapsody – “All Black Everything” (Video)

North Carolina’s own Rapsody drops a new video for “All Black Everything” from her latest project “For Everything”. I know Rapsody is & has mentioned often that she’s inspired by Jay-Z, but lately I’ve been feeling like she’s mimicking him a little too much. Even with this song title “All Black Everything” which is a phrase Jay has been promoting for a minute. It’s ok to be inspired by other artists, but don’t lose your own voice & style in the process. It’s a turn-off to your OWN growing fanbase in my opinion. I know this is random, but fellow Jamla artist Heather Victoria appearing in the video at the :37mark gave me a slight heart murmur. On another rather ironic note, this “All Black Everything” video was directed by the talented AND white Kenneth Price & produced by the equally as dope & white Eric G. Hahaaa!

9th Wonder – ‘The Wonder Year’ (Trailer)

This is the trailer for an upcoming documentary on 9th Wonder sponsored by LRG. Directed by Kenneth Price, the film follows 9th Wonder around for a complete year to highlight the ups, downs, & essense of the North Carolina producer & emcee. The documentary proves to be in depth as it reportedly clocks in at almost 90 minutes.
