Nile Rodgers At The National Museum Of African American Music’s 2018 Legends Gala (Video)

I’m happy to see an incredible institution being built to pay homage and honor to our unique American art form.

Words from a dude that was there, before Hip-Hop THEN through its beginnings. DOPE! But… answer the man… WHY was it so HOT? Hahaaa!

Music Icon Nile Rodgers talks with DJ BLAK MAGIC about how he handled The Sugar Hill Gang sampling his song Good Times and how he feels about being honored by the National Museum of African American Music at their 2018 Legends Gala.

Talk about ‘unsung.’ This documentary will spotlight an artist to whom it was denied for far too long.

Check out the official trailer above.

When Mobb Deep would say, “There’s a war going on outside, no man is safe from” … sh!t was real? Yes. And they stayed ready for ‘the realness.’ Hear about it from Hav and Prodigy themselves; and the respect they have for those who sampled them (as they considered doing so a compliment).
