Talib Kweli – “Violations” featuring Raekwon (Video)
Talib Kweli and Raekwon. Action shots and dusty photos. Good blend of technologies to relate the music visually for “Violations†(produced by Thaddeus Dixon) off Kweli’s “Gravitas” LP.
Madlib – “Cue 06” (Instrumental)
“Cue 06” (by Madlib) is a tasty cut off the original soundtrack to the “Our Vinyl Weighs a Ton” Stones Throw Records documentary (out now on DVD & Blu-Ray with CD soundtrack). The official release for the 10-track soundtrack is set for July 2014 (according to the label’s website).

Coalmine Records Presents: “Unearthed” (Mixed By DJ Revolution)
Yep. Coalmine Records followed through on its promise. No more leaks. El Da Sensei’s “Show Stoppa” was the last. No more teasing and promo’ing to “build interest in the product”… They dropped it. Very dope, indeed. Worth the wait, though there’s no need to wait anymore. Enjoy “Unearthed” (mixed by DJ Revolution). Get it on iTunes if you like.

King Mez – “Can’t Let Go” (Video)
Know how Scarface did that “No Problem” we posted on here… or that “My Block” from back in the day? King Mez got love for his ‘hood like that, too. Take a look at him taking us around his surroundings in this vid for “Can’t Let Go” off his “Long Live The King” LP.

SkyBlew x Backdraft – “Journeys In 1st Person” (Album)
When it comes to songs, a SkyBlew x Backdraft collabo has yet to disappoint. Now, a whole LP of that shi’sh… gotta be good! I’ve made my judgement. Your turn. It’s the album ‘Blew alluded to when he dropped his ‘Cloud Walker’ track a couple weeks back. “Journeys In 1st Person” is out…and it’s FREE!

Blu – “The Return”
This new Blu track is going to mess with your equilibrium (that in-and-out audio fade). But in a good way. “The Return” is off Blu’s upcoming double album “Good To Be Home” (out now on iTunes).
Trey Songz Takes ‘Smartphones’ To Not So ‘Foreign’ Places (Video)
Next level! You and everyone you know has likely butt-dialed their smartphones. Sure. But when you can have several butts to dial with… now, you’re making a Trey Songz vid. R&B: Mack Wilds – “Remember The Time” (Video)
On his debut album, “New York: A Love Story,” Staten Island, New York native Mack Wilds has a remake of a Michael Jackson classic, “Remember The Time†(produced by Havoc, of Mobb Deep, and Salaam Remi). Mack is a bad-mutha-shut-yo-mouf…but bad enough to touch the King of Pop’s track? See for yourself.
Jaded Inc. (Mayer Hawthorne x 14KT) – “Monster†(Prod. J Dilla)
Jaded Inc. consists of Michigan natives Mayer Hawthorne and 14KT. The “Monster” beat is a J Dilla creation they breathe over lovely. The track will be on the forthcoming Jaded Inc. debut album called “The Big Knock” (due out June 17, 2014), available for pre-order on iTunes now.
Eminem Debuts New Video for “Headlights” featuring Nate Ruess and Directed By Spike Lee (Video)
What with all the very well documented animosity Eminem held for his mom – expressed in song via cuts put out over the years – if ever he was to ‘reconcile’ on wax, it’d be major. Major enough to enlist filmmaker Spike Lee to do a video for it! Well, enough of the preamble and ramble. Here it is: “Headlights” featuring Nate Ruess (off “The Marshall Mathers LP 2”) from Marshall Mathers to his Mom.
Small Professor – “Mixed Jawns II” (Instrumental Album)
Philly beatsmith Small Professor put out “Mixed Jawns II,” the sequel to “Mixed Jawns.” This one has mixed cutie Maya Rudolph on the cover; the first (“Mixed Jawns”), bi-racial bombshell Rashida Jones. You get the theme now? Good, now you can get the beautiful blends.

staHHr – “Get Right” (Prod. Astronote) [Video]
“First step is love. Missing that, don’t bother.” – staHHr
The HH is for Hip-Hop, and so is staHHr. She definitely got love… from us and always for Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop isn’t her middle name. It’s in the middle of her name! Something so right about staHHr flows over an Astronote beat. The single “Get Right” is off the “Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Season†LP. Lovely visuals above. Directed by Will Feagins, Jr for High Impact Media.
