The vinyl includes a jacket with an original illustration by JOE BUCK & detailed liner notes of Kev’s travels and how they inspired him to make this project. Track listing and links to get the “South Africa Dedication” EP appear after the jump.
Statik Selektah x Termanology’s European Adventure With Nas x Mac Miller (Video)
The video (shot and edited by Daniel and Michael of K1X) compiles clips of 1982 (Statik Selektah x Termanology) touring across Europe with Nas, Mac Miller, and others. Backstage snippets, b-roll footage on the road, interactions with fans, and a vignette of the 1982 duo rocking their hit “Lights Down” off their mixtape “2012” (out now) in front of an eager crowd adorn this piece.

R&B: Rochelle Jordan – “Pressure” (Mixtape)
Remember that nice joint “Losing” we posted here a while ago? Well, Toronto’s own Rochelle Jordan is back with her full mixtape – “Pressure” (entirely FREE here) – and there is more to enjoy! Twelve tracks… and “Losing” was just the tip of a very cool iceberg. Nice.

RZA Directs and Stars In ‘The Man With The Iron Fists’ (Movie Trailer)
‘Quentin Tarantino presents “The Man With The Iron Fists,” an action-adventure inspired by kung-fu classics as interpreted by his longtime collaborators RZA [of Hip-Hop’s Wu-Tang Clan] and Eli Roth. Making his debut as a big-screen director, co-writer and leading man, RZA – alongside an exciting international cast led by Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu – tells the epic story of warriors, assassins and a lone outsider hero who all descend on one fabled village in China for a winner-takes-all battle for a fortune in gold.’ – Official Webiste
Question: Is that pro wrestler Dave Batista from WWE in the trailer, too? So that’s where he went!
Luck-One x Dekk – “Searchin'” (Video)
Nice right from the start of the video… if only we thought of this when we hear stacks and racks. Luck-One & Deck bring this smooth Hip-Hop from Portland, Oregon to your eardrum. Good vibe. “Can’t complain about a labor of love,” the verse goes. Luck-One & Dekk keep “Searchin'” for balance – taking care of family, pursuing destiny, staying legitimate, and such. It’s hard out here for real artists. Appreciate that… and this video. Bonus: You can get the single, “Searchin'” right here…and the entire “Beautiful Music Part 2” mixtape after the jump.

Vicky Green – “Riverside”
Hailing from Harlem & Yonkers respectively, Vicky Green steps on the scene with a musical mission to spread her soulful sound, empower women, and represent the trials and tribulations of her urban upbringing. Her first single, “Riverside” (off her debut “Beauty School Drop Out” EP) is a descriptive explanation of everyday life in Harlem, NY. At the same time, she draws parallels to what happens in hoods all around! This is dope! This is Hip-Hop!

Kendrick Lamar: PitchFork Music Festival (Video)
Kendrick Lamar performs at the Pitchfork Music Festival and does his publicity runs. Shows… then reporters… then radio… It’s not easy, but Kendrick declares he would rather do all that (as part of the life he loves) than sit at home or do anything else. Great attitude. Glad producer/director Eavvon O’Neal (and others) put this together to show that, and Kendrick’s desire to take the feel he had on the underground circuit to the mainstream (e.g. not ‘selling out’ despite what some may think). Side note: Watching this video, I see that “Swimming Pools” was made for the festival stage! Enjoy.

Uptown XO – “Errybody” (Prod. AB The Pro) [Video]
Uptown XO (of Diamond District) is back with “Errybody” (produced by AB The Pro), a track from the upcoming mixtape entitled “The Color Gray” (due out October 1, 2012). The lyricism on this is nice…but that beat…will make you bounce. Promise!
Slaughterhouse’s ‘Complex’ Feelings (Video)
Complex.com’s “30 Rappers in Their Thirties” list has set off a tidal wave of feelings with Slaughterhouse. It’s okay to chuckle as we ride it out with Joe Budden, Royce da 5’9, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I; because these fools are hilarious! Feel their “pain.” Share it. Grow from the experience. Hahahaaa.
Stu Bangas x Vanderslice – “Casino Royale” Ft. Apathy x Blacastan (Video)
Hard rhymes and soft Honeyz… shot at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Vegas… You’re already in, right? But on top of all that, this song and video for “Casino Royale” is worthy! Apathy and Blacastan going HARD (that line about feeding fetuses fetuses… whoa) on a quality beat make it so. The song is on “Diggaz With Attitude” – a full-length 17-track release from Stu Bangas and Vanderslice – is due out August 28, 2012. But you can pre-order it via iTunes.
J Dilla – “Rebirth Is Necessary” feat. Tone Plummer x Mr Wrong (Video)
The “Rebirth Of Detroit” by the late Detroit great J Dilla is IN STORES NOW (available at FatBeats). This video for his cut “Rebirth Is Necessary” (featuring Tone Plummer and Mr. Wrong) has a rough look to it. But listening to the song, it feels right. Points to Ron Moe and Dirtty Ratt (of Ghosttown Entertainment) for the shot selections, and Rowe Shot Me for the edit, and for keeping the look grimy while embodying a sense of urgency…in keeping with the gritty feel and duress inherent in the song. Respect!
