Danny Trejo Speaks On Mistakes Made In “American Me” & Saving Edward James Olmos’ Life (Video)

You’re not dealing with theatrical motherf**kers!

Wow. The weight of what Danny Trejo says, in general but specifically about the ill events surrounding the making/release of “American Me”… Just wow. You could ask a lot of folks if a movie was ‘real’ but you really ought to lean in and listen when Trejo answers that here.

Danny Trejo spoke to VladTV about the controversy caused by American Me and the Mexican Mafia being disrespected by the film. Trejo explained that he saved director Edward James Olmos’ life after he claims that a price was put on his head over the movie, adding that Olmos wouldn’t speak with him over the controversy. To hear more, including speaking with the Mexican Mafia heads over the incident, hit the above clip.

This Animé “MFKZ” Has Some Of Everybody Doing Everything R-Rated In It (Trailer)

Rated R? That all?? Looks like it could be ‘stronger’ with the warning. Bloody violence, check! Foul language, check! And sexual content, aaaand check! Yep… checks all the boxes for some dope, slick, sick anime that fans like; just like they like it!!

The film [“MFKZ”] centers on young Angelino and his skull-and-flame pal Vinz, who live in a seedy tenement in an LA-inspired dystopian metropolis – a burnt-out, gang and cockroach-ridden neo-urban hell. Following a scooter accident, Angelino starts experiencing migraines and strange hallucinations, as well as fits of rage-inspired superpowers, as he slowly awakens to the truth of his origins: he is half human and half Macho, a supernatural alien race that is bent on taking over the planet.

Inmate To Action Star: The Amazing Life Of Danny Trejo (Video)

Nice video summation of the life of an actor who went from the guy you kinda recognize to the accomplished action star you betta reckonize! Thing is, that acting gig turned big came after a prison bid and a f**ked up life before. So glad Danny Trejo pushed through. Seems like a great dude. Which is awesome! With all the movies and commercials (and Trejo’s Tacos restaurant, watch), it would suck if he turned into a Hollywood jerk after being enriched by such humbling experiences.

‘Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo’ Documentary Covers His Rise From Prison To Hollywood

The video above is not the trailer for actor Danny Trejo’s upcoming documentary, but its interesting to provide you all an appetizer for the upcoming documentary ‘Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo’. There was another documentary on Danny Trejo called “Champion” that we posted the trailer to after the jump.

“The big screen tough guy is currently in production on Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo, a documentary that will chronicle his life and career — from his early days on the streets that led him to prison, to getting clean and working with directors like Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez and appearing in films such as Heat, Con Air and Machete.

Today, Danny Trejo is temperate, benevolent and likely one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. But he wasn’t always this way”, says producer Adam Scorgie in a statement. “Growing up in the mean streets of Pacoima, California, he was raised and mentored by his uncle, a drug addict and armed robber. By the age of 12, he had tried heroin. By age 15, he was introduced to his first jail cell. At 23, he was sentenced to San Quentin for selling a $30,000 bag of heroin to an undercover agent.”

Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo is expected to be released in 2018.
