Tha Dogg Pound x Snoop Dogg – “L.A. Here’s 2 U” (Video)

You don’t have to be from Los Angeles to appreciate this song right here.  This joint makes me want to fly back to one of my favorite cities on the Wessyde for the weekend.  The first time I heard this song I was singing the chorus to myself over & over again hours later.  Now Snoop Dogg & his DPGC cohorts Daz & Kurupt officially drop some dope new visuals they co-directed with their in-house film director homie Dah Dah.

It should already go without saying that Snoop Dogg is a huge icon not only for hip hop, but within the entire entertainment industry. During the 2011 BMI Urban Awards Snoop was presented the BMI Icon Award by Dr. Dre & was treated to tribute performances from friends in the industry like Nas, Kurupt, Wiz Khalifa, Game, Bootsy Collins, Daz, Warren G, Lady Of Rage, & Uncle Charlie Wilson. New joint from the production team The Academy & they brought along some three lyrical Samurai Rydas to bless the track from the East Coast, West Coast & back to the Far East Coast with the homie Kojoe out in Japan. Before I forget…..Happy belated birthday to Kojoe too!  Kojoe is just coming off his Kojoe Tuesdays series but is about to release an official mixtape in Japan & back here in the states.  What better way that to get it poppin’ than to rock on a track with two other skilled emcees in Raekwon & Kurupt. Kojoe also has a track with Styles P that we’re hoping he eventually leaks later.

Kurupt’s ‘Streetlights’ album was one of the most slept on albums of 2010 in my opinion. There were more than enough bangers on there to rock with that I believe many people overlooked. Recently Kurupt arrived in Montreal & did an interview where he drops a few gems like his upcoming album with Pete Rock, how he got one of his nicknames from Tupac, & his thoughts on Dr. Dre’s Detox album. Later in the interview Kurupt does what he does best as a battle skilled emcee….
