Kanye West stopped by Jimmy Fallon’s show last night & performed his new single & my favorite song off of his new album “Yeezus”. I like the audio of this live version just as much as the original & this version isn’t without minor controversy as Kanye provides a funny jab at Brandy’s little brother Ray J in the opening line. Dope song, dope performance. Great setup for when Kanye’s upcoming ‘Yeezus’ tour that’s slated to kick off in October. You know Kanye does great live performances so I know many people will be waiting for this tour along with Kendrick Lamar.  BOUND!!

It should already go without saying that Snoop Dogg is a huge icon not only for hip hop, but within the entire entertainment industry. During the 2011 BMI Urban Awards Snoop was presented the BMI Icon Award by Dr. Dre & was treated to tribute performances from friends in the industry like Nas, Kurupt, Wiz Khalifa, Game, Bootsy Collins, Daz, Warren G, Lady Of Rage, & Uncle Charlie Wilson. This is some great footage of the legendary Charlie Wilson speaking with Fantasia about an idea he has to remake the classic Roger Troutman hit ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’. I’m not a fan of remakes on classics as big as the original, but at least its a legend like Charlie Wilson trying to make it work. If you just happen to be too young to remember or just plain ignorant I’ve included the song below so you can get familiar with the classic that also happens to be one of my favorites……
