Good Vibes Only Podcast | Love & Basketball: Ep. 19 “Dating An Avid Sports Fan” (With JayForce & PictureMane)

Everywhere JayForce go, JayForce rep though! The appearance on this episode on this episode of the Good Vibes Only podcast is no different. He reps the brand, sure; but listen in as he reps for the guys, sports fanatics, guys that are sports fanatics…all that! But the angle for this show: Loving a sports fan. It’s a challenge (worthwhile though).

Sports fans need love too! On this episode, host AplusAshley sat down with Jayforce of JayForce.com and the Beats & Lyrics radio show and Itoro (PictureMane) of FansFavoriteFan, both certified sports junkies about the benefits and burdens of looking to score a sports nut. We also touched on the 2016 NBA Finals, the Copa America and European Championship soccer tournaments, and the drama between Ciara, Russell Wilson, and rapper Future. Tune in and share. Please send song suggestions to Aplusashley on Twitter.

The lovely Aplusashley lives ‘all the way up’ to her name; leading Jay and PictureMane through some fun, meaningful convo. Enjoy!

Too Black For Brazil (Documentary)

Color bias… you know, the light skin vs. dark skin thing… it’s EVERYWHERE! In Brazil though, to seemingly a greater extent than elsewhere, the darker-skinned people play into the preference toward lighter skin. The preference is persistent in the culture even today. And just when some Brazilians thought the people were ready to take a huge step forward, they took a big step back; kicked the throne from under their lovely carnival queen down in the process.

Nayara Justino thought her dreams had come true when she was selected as the Globeleza carnival queen in 2013 after a public vote on one of Brazil’s biggest TV shows. But some regarded her complexion to be too dark to be an acceptable queen. Nayara and her family wonder what this says about racial roles in modern Brazil.

Damn. Watch the documentary above.

History: A Celebration Of Confederate Pride… In Brazil? (Video)

Sure, okay. The South lost the Civil War (oops, War Of Northern Aggression…whatev). BUT, did you know that by the end of the divisive North American war, there was still legal and thriving slavery farther south; as in South America. Specifically, in Brazil; where then Alabama Senator William Norris led a migration of over 10,000 Confederate loyalists to settle. The town was called Americana, of all things; truly an idyllic place for those slave-seeking settlers who came looking to pick up where they left off not-so-long-ago in The States…to live where things were still the way they should be for the most part.

How do we know? VICE is telling us so (above). Amazing [is one word for it]! Talk about a Deeper South version of Ol’ Dixie. Wow. Check it out. It’s the third story in this episode of Daily VICE.

Today on Daily VICE we head out on the road with legendary punk band Dillinger Four, give advice on how to make your booze taste better, search for buried treasure with deep-sea robots, and uncover the enduring Confederate pride of one Brazilian town.

Technology: Miracle Motorbike Can Go 300 Miles On A Quart Of Water! (Video)

That motor sounds like the space cars on The Jetsons cartoon Hahaaaa!

And that’s the last laugh, because this futuristically powered motorbike is serious business. I am surprised that Big Auto or some oil company has not put a hit out on dude …yet. Then again, no matter how fast or far gas prices come down, can they ever really compete with a bike that travels 310 miles on a little more than a quart of water? With no exhaust pollutants; just water vapor? WOWOWWWWW! This is good tech.

A motorcycle able to travel up to 500 kilometres (310 miles) on a litre of water was trumpeted by creator Ricardo Azevedo in Sao Paulo, Monday.

Called the ‘T Power H20,’ the design features a combination of water and a single, external car battery used to produce electricity and separate the hydrogen from the water molecule. The process, involving a pipe-system, results in combustion which subsequently creates the energy necessary to power the bike.

Comedy: ‘Curse of Chucky’ Prank Scares Brazilian Bus-Stop Patrons (Video)

Ahahaaaaaa! Down in Brazil, Chucky got ’em stankin’ up their britches, as my folks might say. Translation: Pranksters dressed an actor up as famed cult horror character/doll ‘Chucky’ and had him scaring the sh!t out of hapless victims waiting at a bus stop in Brazil.

A film crew set Chucky up in a hideaway behind a bus stop wall ad. Then they taped several patrons giving real life reactions to the fake mini-monster’s attack. Hilarious! Watch.

(And you would’ve run, too. Don’t front!)

Brasil is one of my favorite countries I’ve ever visited in my life (several times over) from the beautiful women, landscape, art, culture, & the music. Astute music heads in Brasil stopped into the Mary Pop club in Sao’ Paulo to become a part of the madness as Phonte & 9th Wonder rocked on stage & they were truly “Lovin It”.

Brazilian Women Testing Men For Head Injuries (NSFW)

One of my friends sent me this video & I laughed out loud after watching it. Seems like some Brazil men are being admitted into hospitals all over the country for massive ‘bunda to head’ trauma! It’s actually pronounced ‘Surra De Bunda’ which means ‘Butt Slap’ in Portuguese. No need to worry because It’s just like good music…when it hits you there is no pain. Haha! (Sigh) I miss Brasil.
