Janet Jackson Talks About Low Self Esteem & Her Years Of Self Inflicted Abuse (Video)

It never ceases to amaze me how the majority of beautiful women tend to be the ones with the most low self-esteem issues. In an interview that’s scheduled to air on Dateline NBC at 7pm Sunday, Janet Jackson discusses her years of dealing with self-inflicted abuse because she thought she wasn’t attractive enough. Crazy right? Sheehz!

Stripper Swallows A 3 Foot Long Balloon For T-Pain (Video)

While in one of the local ‘shoe modeling’ establishments singer T-Pain had a stripper with a special talent perform a ‘trick’ for him. All I gotta say is that girl gooooood! Haha

Phonte Lets Loose More Unreleased Tracks For The Fans

Phonte let go a few more songs for fans that were sitting around collecting digital dust. Here’s a few that I enjoyed plus the comedic ‘We Are The World’ styled “Rza Is The World’ song where he’s impersonating Rza from the Wu-Tang Clan raising money for Haiti.

Phonte – Dillagence (Tribute To J Dilla) (prod by DJ Spinna)

Foreign Exchange Talk About Avoiding A Performance Nightmare (Video)

If you’ve never been to Canada then you may not be fully aware that they have some very strict border policing practices. Phonte, Nicolay, & the rest of the Foreign Exchange crew talked about being in a very tight situation very close to showtime in Toronto. Check out the video to hear the story & following the jump check out some behind the scenes footage of Foreign Exchange’s new video for ‘Authenticity’ which is the title track from their new album in stores now.

School Of Sharks – 4 Seasons (prod by Lex Boogie)

The School Of Sharks continue to circle the web in a menacing manner with the bangers provided by the homie Lex Boogie from the Bronx. No Benny Blanco.

Nas & Damian Marley – ‘Patience’ (Video)

Nas & Damian Marley drop a new video to one of my favorite songs off of their ‘Distant Relatives’ album. The visuals look like they could have hired the same director Kanye used for his ‘Power’ video because of the style similarities.

Gotta Be Karim feat. Boog Brown – Do For Self (prod by Illastrate)

This joint is a B-B-B-Banger!! Although everyone involved with this track is based here in Atlanta, it’s really a midwest connect as STL’s ‘Gotta Be Karim’ recruits Detroit’s ‘Boog Brown’ over some dope production from the Indiana homie ‘Illastrate! Real hip hop at its best! Damn!!! The song is a part of Gotta Be Karim’s upcoming project called the ‘Beverly EP’. Radio DJs who need clean versions I attached a copy for you below! Bang this joint!

Big Sean – ‘My Last’ feat. Chris Brown (prod by NO I.D.)

Kanye West has a great roster of artists over there at G.O.O.D. Music, but one artist I had been on the fence about was Big Sean. Detroit as a city is known for some hardbody lyrical beasts in terms of talent yet with Big Sean I never got the impression that he never really took that course. He appears to be one of those types of new artists that isn’t battle lyrical so I’ve felt that his strong suit would probably be in crafting good songs or stories. I even stopped by one of his shows in Atlanta to check out his stage show & check out his style to see if I was missing anything considering he had a decent amount of fans on the internet. The songs I genuinely enjoyed the most from Big Sean both appeared to be collaborations he had with Chris Brown. The first song that caught my attention was ‘Sh*t Goddam’ & now this new joint that just dropped called ‘My Last’. Say what you want about Big Sean, but this song right here with Chris Brown is a hit record if his label and the people around him don’t drop the ball. Some video of Big Sean & Chris Brown recording in the studio after the jump…..

Open – Eyes Of The Future (prod by Leo Confident)

Open is a talented emcee who I believe is from the Columbus, Georgia area, but being from a small town doesn’t appear to be stopping him from gaining recognition on various hip hop shows like DJ Premier’s ‘Live From HeadQuarterz’ show & Tony Touch’s ‘RockSteady Radio’ show on Sirius XM satellite radio. Several blogs from around the internet have been following his talent as well. Radio DJs will be happy to know that his camp also provided a clean & dirty version of his work further illustrating his team isn’t half assing on the push & they mean business. Check out the track that has many people talking about seeing the future in this kid ‘Open’ with a song called ‘Eyes Of The Future’ produced by Leo Confident. It Bangs! So get ‘Open’….

Stephen Marley – ‘No Cigarette Smoke’ (In My Room) feat. Melanie Fiona

Now this is some really good music right here that has me about to purchase a ticket to the islands after all this wintery weather. Stephen Marley drops this new joint featuring Melanie Fiona called ‘No Cigarette Smoke’ in anticipation of his upcoming project ‘Revelation Part 1: The Root Of Life’ due March 22nd. The sophomore album is rumored to feature Mos Def, Ben Harper, & Sizzla Kalonji among a host of other collaborators without diluting the reggae heavy sound. The album sounds like it’s shaping up well in terms of quality songs especially since I’ve still been playing the ‘Jah Army’ track alot that dropped earlier this year with his brother Damian. This particular song with Melanie Fiona has been on regular rotation for me on a personal level since I got it. The title applies to a few of my rules regarding my personal space & many of my friends can attest that I’d rather have Ganja smoke in my clothes than some nasty ass cigarette smoke. Rewind Selectah
