Cappadonna’s double-album “Eryth, Wynd & Fyre / Love, Anger & Emotion” is out on iTunes now. But here’s the video for “Can’t Believe Its Him” off his old album “The Pilgrimage” (2011). Mellow flow. Good track and visuals. Peep.

Spectac x Amiri – “I Grew Up” feat. Najee (Video)
Visuals from Spectac & Amiri for their hot new single “I Grew Up” off their album “Soul Beautiful.” Respect to BANK! of Two Fifty Media for delivering the song’s vision to video. R&B singer Najee on the hook.
Styles P – “Lean” (Video)
Hot women and a dusky visual is the way Styles P delivers “Lean” – his latest burner. He is still pushing his Scram Jones-produced album “Float” (out now). But the grind don’t stop with that apparently.
R&B/Soul: Alicia Keys – “Fire We Make” feat. Maxwell (Video)
Cot dam! Never seen ice look hotter than when Alicia Keys uses it. Have to expect that a song that features Alicia AND Maxwell is going to be very hot. It is. And the visuals don’t disappoint (damn, Alicia…damn)! Check out the video for “The Fire We Make” off Keys’ “Girl on Fire” LP.
Talib Kweli – “High Life” feat. Rubix x Bajah (Video)
Talib Kweli’s frames his trip through South Africa into a self-directed music video for “High Life” the latest single off his forthcoming “Prisoner of Conscious” LP. Official release is slated for May 7, 2013; but you can pre-order the LP today at iTunes.
Snoop Dogg On ‘HuffPost Live’ (Video)
Snoop appeared as a guest on HuffPost Live to promote his album “Reincarnated” (out now). That was the main intent. But you Snoop does what Snoop does… like firing up the weed and freestyling … LIVE!
He didn’t mean to though. He said so in the clip above. You can watch the entire sit-down on the HuffPost Live here.
He also spoke on his transition from gangsta/pimpin’ to a new persona pushing peace and non-violence; even weighing on the Rick Ross “didn’t know” lyric controversy. Good stuff.
Chuuwee – “Bend The Block” (Prod. By Glass City) [Video]
“Wildstyle: B Side” from Chuuwee is out now. A nice track off that project – “Bend The Block” (produced by Glass City) – has a nice vid from The Visualists – VSLSTS to go with it. Check it out above. You can get the “Wildstyle: B Side” album below.
Uptown XO (of Diamond District) – “Evolution” (Video)
This new “Evolution” joint by DC emcee Uptown XO is dope but I’m really looking forward to see him reconnect with his Diamond District fam for a brand new project. This new one will hold us over until then. The visual presentation above for “Evolution” (produced by AB The Pro, from his album “Colour de Grey”) was directed by Backie T.
‘Introspective, stylish and gritty, XO is a reflection of his DC environment. “Colour de Grey” straddles commericial appeal and underground grit, utilizing street smart lyrical content with an ear to the political, along with infectious soul stirring, head-nodding production.’
Styles P – “Reckless” feat. Raekwon (Prod. By Scram Jones)
Another key single from Styles P’s new album entirely produced by Scram Jones. They’re ALL produced by Scram Jones. This is “Reckless” from Styles P featuring Raekwon The Chef (of Wu-Tang Clan).
Tez McClain – “Art vs Hustle” (Video)
Atlanta emcee Tez McClain dropped the album “Scoundrel” a month ago and is now releasing the new video for “Art vs Hustle” (produced by Natural Disaster). Mr. Glamwork himself representing Raw Work Films did the visuals for this one (above), bringing to life the single’s concept: calling out the emptiness of the “hustle” culture and the rappers who exploit the art.

The East point representer’s new video “Yamin” directed by Derek “Zero” Evans features a few cameos from several notables who are all heavily involved within Atlanta’s true school hip hop scene. Illastrate – “Henny Loggins Show” (EP)
Atlanta based producer Illastrate is one of ‘illest’ producers who’s been consistently releasing quality product on the low for a while now. His masterful & often soulful production credits continues to grow albeit rather quietly to the larger mainstream audiences. As much as he’s known throughout the Atlanta true school & soul scene for his tracks he’s almost equally known amongst those in the know for the wild alter-egos he employs such as “Hoodie Allen” & of course his latest alias inspired by songwriter Kenny Loggins & his love for Hennessy to become “Henny Loggins”. Wasn’t surprised when he chose the latest moniker for ‘SEASON 1’ as the title of the new project series featuring artists Ekundayo, Boog Brown, Stanza, Mike Flo, Yamin Semali, Arablak, & more. If you just want to vibe out to his dope tracks minus all the vocals, Illastrate also provided an instrumental version of the project as well. Listen or download the joints below….
