R&B: Peter Hadar – “Magicâ€
Peter Hadar offers a synth-and-percussion driven R&B single entitled “Magic” (produced by Beng Fang). This is a sample of Peter’s upcoming EP “Entrees Gourmet.”
R&B/Soul: Denitia x Sene – “The Nude”
Team effort all the way through on this saucy track. Sene wrote and produced the track. Then Denitia joins Sene to put it down, with Sly5thAve on the bass. Mixed down by Nolan Thies. The result is “The Nude.”
Lyric Jones – “Music & Love” (Prod. By IIIastrate) [Video]
“Music & Love” with Lyric Jones caught hopelessly between the two. Artists on the grind know the story all too well. But it never gets old, especially when it’s told so well by Lyric over this IIIastrate track. Plus, the video really brings the story to life in a way holds very true to the song’s them… probably because Lyric also directed it. Respect to KD Gray for shooting and editing the footage.
Below: Get a FREE download of the debut single off Lyric’s upcoming project “Love’s Trail Mix EP” (due out late Summer 2013).
R&B/Soul: Quadron – “Better Off” feat. Kendrick Lamar

R&B: Kelly Rowland – Dirty Laundry
Damn that album cover art is… a work of art! “Talk A Good Game” (LP) is due out June 4, 2013. But Kelly Rowland is dropping another eye-opening new single right now. This is Kelly stepping further out of the Destiny’s Child shadow. Airing out some “Dirty Laundry.” The song was written by R&B singer & songwriter The-Dream but the message in the music conveys Kelly Rowland’s true feelings about Beyonce & also how she dealt with an abusive relationship. Could have done without all the curses in the song but the music & honesty is appreciated. Wow. You thought you knew, but… just listen.
R&B/Soul: Bobby V – Back To Love
Atlanta’s R&B artist Bobby V takes it ‘Back To Love’ with this impressive new single off of his upcoming “Peach Moon” EP due in the coming months. This is the type of R&B that’s missing these days so it’s actually refreshing hearing artists not overly compromise what real R&B should be & feel like. In fact that’s what’s been missing from most of the R&B songs released these days – The “LOVE” element. Let’s get ‘Back To Love’ indeed….
R&B: The-Dream – “IV Play” (Video)
Atlanta based R&B singer & songwriter ‘The-Dream” drops some great looking visuals for the title track to his upcoming album “IV Play” directed by Toronto’s Little “X”. The first time I heard this new joint from Mr. Terius Nash I felt a slight Jodeci influence in the music & to a minor degree the video also gives me that feel of their 90s based clips as well. Hot women (the badonk on one of them is amazing), great visual shots, & good music make for a very interesting clip. Be on the lookout for The-Dream’s upcoming album “IV Play” coming May 28th.
PRE-ORDER: THE-DREAM – IV PLAY (ALBUM)

R&B/Soul: Eric Lau – “Where To Go Now” feat. Tawiah
I’ve become a fan of DJ & producer Eric Lau’s work over the past several years after initially discovering his music. Whenever he drops something new I know without fail I can ALWAYS expect quality work. This new joint featuring the talented UK based soul singer Tawiah called “Where To Go Now” is the second single from his upcoming project “One Of Many” due June 17th. His equally as hot first single “Everytime” we had posted just a few weeks back in case you missed it. London-based singer Tawiah has been releasing some great music on her own that we’ve posted previously so discovering this new collaboration with Eric Lau was a no-brainer that the end result would be nothing short of special. I’m sure this is just “One Of Many” of the great musical pieces Tawiah & Eric Lau have coming our way. For now go ahead get cop the FREE download of the new single below.

R&B: Mariah Carey – “Beautiful” feat. Miguel (Video)
Man! I better not hear Miguel ever complain about his job. Taking the luscious Mariah Carey for a spin on his bike; after having recorded a hit with her… all in a day’s work. Wow. Their video is obviously “Beautiful” and so is the song (out now on iTunes; album coming this summer). Check out visuals above, and cop the audio below.
R&B: Dawn Richard – “Army”
Dawn Richard has her sophomore effort “Blackheart” on the way. To hold her hearts (fans) over though, she drops this single “Army” (produced by Kev The Writer).
Theophilus London – “Rio” feat. The Menahan Street Band (Video)

R&B: John Legend – “Who Do We Think We Are?” feat. Rick Ross (Video)
Remember when Heavy D & the Boyz sampled Jean Knight’s “Mr. Big Stuff” (for their own song with that title)? Well, here’s a new John Legend joint – “Who Do We Think We Are” (featuring Rick Ross) – that went back to that well. Nice. The single is is out on iTunes now. The full-length, “Love in the Future,” is due out June 25, 2013. Check out what John has to say about it:
Visuals directed by Paul Gore.

R&B/Soul: Glenn Lewis – ‘Can’t Say Love’
Recently I was speaking with a friend about great contemporary soul artists & Toronto singer Glenn Lewis’s name had come up. His now classic “Don’t You Forget It” & “Simple Things” , & “Good One” are just a few of my favorites. It got me to wondering where the brotha was with the new music lately. Seems like a higher power may have overheard our conversation as some new music from the T.Dot singer just dropped. Glenn Lewis new lead single “Can’t Say Love” is from of his upcoming album “Moment of Truth” (due out August 20, 2013). Lewis’ track orchestrated by CertiFYD Production Group. Good heartfelt, soulful offering to get the fans back right…

R&B: Verse Simmonds – “Fully Loaded” feat. Young Jeezy
Young Jeezy drops in to drop a verse on Atlanta based R&B singer Verse Simmonds’ smooth new track “Fully Loaded.” Verse has a new EP entitled “1996” on the way. Most of the time I don’t like to hear a guest rapper on what anyone with a great ear can tell is an excellent R&B song but this joint is still something fly to ride out to either way….
DJ Rasta Root – “4649 Worldwide Hip Hop” (ATL Mix)
Japanese graphic/clothing designer Yumi Sakaki (of 4649 Worldwide Clothing and Graphic Design) and Atlanta producer DJ Rasta Root collaborated on this “4649 Worldwide Hip Hop” (ATL Mix) project.
‘I always felt that my duty as a DJ was to break new music and support artists in my hometown scene. This project was the perfect opportunity to do that. I decided to do a mix with all Atlanta artists that have, in my opinion, been working hard at their craft and deserve to be recognized. This project with 4649 Worldwide has allowed the opportunity to showcase some of Atlanta’s rising stars who I respect as individuals and as artists.’
Fifty minutes of mix. Zero minutes of talk. All FREE! All good.
