Terrace Martin Presents The Pollyseeds – “Up & Away”

Another one from The Pollyseeds? Yes indeed. This is some good riding music; actually expected to hear an emcee start riding this track out of nowhere. Just has a smooth emcee’s feel. Maybe somebody will rap over a ‘remix’ or something. Still dope if they do or don’t. Check it out! You can pre-order “Sounds Of Crenshaw, Vol. 1” today.

Deniro Farrar – “Gentrification” (Video)

Ain’t nobody ever ready. You just gotta do it!

REVOLUTION! Been seeing this “Gentrification” video from Deniro Farrar making its rounds on Facebook walls. It’s part of a set (“Red Book, Vol. 1”) available on Souncloud now. Pretty damn dope.

More on dude after the jump. By the way, he is asking for your vote for XXL’s 2017 cover. Respect Deniro. I hope this one gets you closer. Great work!

KOTD | Cypher Series Vol. 1 With JD Era x Sese x Young Stitch x Raz Fresco x Roshin (Video)

Wow. They doing it in Canada y’all.

Hype talk-off before the set off by Bishop Brigante. DJ Docta on the tables, a banging azz beat by Superville and a gang of dope emcees make for a dope azz cypher. I prefer ‘cipher’ (like rhyme ‘circle’) as the term for this, but since the art went big time stage and screen worldwide… *sigh* …guess everything needs ‘marketing’ and such. And sure, this is about business (KOTD pushing pay-per-view events) but the rhymes and delivery though. We’re getting some Hip-Hop essence here!

Watch JD Era, Sese, Young Stitch, Raz Fresco and Roshin go in above! You can follow them and their moves on Twitter, too (got ’em all linked; click the handles). Displaying what’s hot in Hip-Hop up top. It’s a coooold winter in Canada, son. Just saying.

Stat Quo – “Outkast” (Video)

I’ve been banging this hot new song from Atlanta native & part-time Los Angeles based emcee Stat Quo for weeks on my radio show. It’s a quality nod to Atlanta’s most famous hip hop duo ‘Outkast’ in terms of the initial sound, but the story is completely Stat Quo’s own. I LOVE this song man! Without question it’s one of my personal favorite joints in the past few months. The only thing that would have made me any happier prior to today would have been to see a quality video for it.  And just like that today on April 10th,  Stat Quo drops a new visual on us. If you like the song you can find it on Stat Quo’s latest project “ATLA: All This Life Allows, Vol. 1” that’s available now via itunes, amazon, & a variety of other outlets.

Madlib – “Hold The Organ”

“Rock Konducta” (Vol. 1) is a VINYL-ONLY release. But you can stream a digital sample of the hotness to come below; a single off the forthcoming project entitled “Hold The Organ.”

“Rock Konducta” is the latest in Madlib’s instrumental “Beat Konducta” series, the producer’s raw Hip-Hop beat tapes brought to life. This latest album finds it’s inspiration in various worldwide underground rock scenes from the 1960s through the 80s: American psychedelia, Germany’s Krautrock, acid-soaked Spanish prog-rock and synthy, early-80s oddities. Tied together by Madlib’s unique sensibility, these music scenes coalesce into a new whole.

R&B: Lloyd – “The Question” (Video)

Atlanta based R&B singer Lloyd had a show in Amsterdam & used that opportunity to shoot a video for ‘The Question’ off of his latest R&B mixtape The Playboy Diaries Vol. I that’s available now. I’ve been digging some of what I’ve heard, but I’d like to hear the project without a DJ host on it.  I genuinely like to hear R&B mixtapes without any talking on them. Hopefully a no dj version will be coming soon but until then just enjoy the video above that he directed himself.

Yamin Semali – “Yen Dollar Music: Vol. 1” (Album)

Nice instrumental project from the homie Yamin Semali (aka DJ AmDex of Clan Destined). Dope cover art by High Impact Multimedia (photography by Linda Costa) by the way. Stream it and check it out below.

Cardiak – “The Emergency Room” Vol. 1 (Instrumentals)

New Jersey’s own producer extraordinaire Cardiak has released his first all-instrumental download, “The Emergency Room” Vol. 1, featuring music for “Lean Wit It,” “600 Benz,” “Start It Up,” “Outlaw,” and more.  The Willingboro, New Jersey (outside of Philadelphia) based producer is definitely seeing his stock rise so he’s letting loose some freebies for the emcees to get busy over or for those of us who dig his beats. My favorite is the ‘Lean Wit It’ joint he produced for Meek Mill. Also included in his new mixtape are beats that have never been heard prior to this release. Get “The Emergency Room” Vol. 1 by Cardiak right here or listen to the beats from the project below…
