There was a slight twitter controversy with these two artists after Frank Ocean was offended with Chris Brown comparing him to singer/songwriter James Fauntleroy. Frank Ocean may have thought it was a diss, but he may have been unaware that James Fauntleroy wrote many of Chris Brown’s hits. It’s evident that things have been cleared up & it’s all love now as they have this new track together.

When this song first dropped back in March I was worried that such a good song was gonna get lost in the never ending shuffle of music that gets released in the course of a year. I used to have this “Lovely” song on repeat in my itunes playlists & it’s good to see they didn’t just let this song die without a good video to breath new life into it.

Ne-Yo is making good on his attempts to further reggae music around the world with his new Compound Island label dedicated to breaking Jamaican artists. One of the first songs he recorded was the “I Know You Want Me” remix with Mavado. Although Mavado isn’t exactly a new artist in anyway, their collaboration is a quality start in setting the tone for the new movement. I first heard this remix about a month ago, but I didn’t expect a video for this joint to drop. I’m not mad at it either. Ya Dun Know!

New remix from UK songstress Estelle for ‘Break My Heart’ featuring some hip hop heavy hitters in Swizz Beatz, Jadakiss, & Busta Rhymes. There was another remix with Rick Ross that dropped previously, but this particular joint is a real REMIX because of the production changes. They even sample 90s R&B duo Zhane’s classic ‘Sending My Love’. Dope!

I dug this song the very first time I heard it & I’m still not tired of it. I’m largely drawn to the instrumentation & Jeremih’s lyrics & vocal tone on the hook. This song feels like a Rick Ross song more than Wale’s but it’s all Maybach Music Group anyway. The visuals look good too….

The only negative to the video is that Nas doesn’t appear in this video version of the song, but the joint still knocks anyway! NIIIICE!!
