GLC Says Kanye West Defines Success As Being Embraced By White People (Video)

Don’t know if this is all real talk, sneak dissing, some dry snitching or what… but this word on Yeezus comes from a [likely former] homie of his who would know. Rapper GLC came up with Yeezy in The Go Getters crew back in Chicago back in the day. Well, GLC interviewed with The Chicago Morning Takeover show, and spilled a big bowl of Kanye beans – on everything from the hospitalization to the new hair coloring (blonde) of Ye.

Hey, we all have our weirdness; whether in phases or on the daily. But the most damning shot GLC might have let fly is alleging Kanye’s life goal of turning in his hood pass.

He equated success to being accepted by the caucasian masses. So if the caucasian people embraced him, that means he made it.

Lupe Fiasco Covers XXL Magazine’s May 2011 Issue

The staff at XXL are starting to put artists I respect on their front covers as of late. I wasn’t upset with the Freshmen 2011 cover when that dropped because I could understand what they were doing with it in terms of the balance amongst the newcomers. I wasn’t mad at the SlaughterHouse, Yelawolf, & Eminem cover & now the folks over there at XXL keeps the integrity going by placing the West Side Chicago kid on the cover for May 2011. Not mad at this one either…..

The 2011 XXL Magazine Freshmen Roundtable Discussion (Video)

It’s easy for me to understand what the staff at XXL magazine have been doing recently with their freshman covers as of late. I said this a while ago on my twitter page that in making their choices for their annual freshmen cover they are choosing newcomers in the game with their own particular fanbase. I equally applaud XXL magazine for fully taking advantage with these video freestyles & new roundtable discussions. Many of these young guys make some great points about what they need to do from here on out & also rehash a few funny stories.

CyHi Da Prynce Speaks On The XXL Magazine 2011 Freshmen Cover (Video)

If the behind the scenes politics are right (you know there’s alot of music industry politics that go on), I believe that CyHi Da Prynce is very capable of becoming a very big artist in the hip hop game. The talent is there but all the rest is management, positioning, & great timing.

Eminem is Winning!!! Wack rap artists step to the f*ckn side!! SlaughterHouse?! Yelawolf?! That’s big! Damn it’s not even fair! SHEEHZ!!!!

From MTV News:

Eminem is back in more ways than one. The Detroit lyricist is reviving his Shady Records company, and Wednesday (January 12) he announced the signing of two new acts: underground supergroup Slaughterhouse and upstart rapper Yelawolf. Cashis and D-12 remain on the roster, but Em made no secret of wanting to bring new life to his company.

“Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, it’s kinda phase two of Shady,” Eminem explained in a statement. “It’s the new generation of Shady Records, and as we’re trying to rebuild our label, it’s exciting for hip-hop, and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody’s capable of on the mic, it’s gonna be fun.”
