Lord Finesse Speaks On What Made Gang Starr (DJ Premier x GURU) Special [Video]

If anyone can speak on this, Lord Finesse can. Saying Preemo is a SUPER-producer… all while repping DITC (with its cabal of dope producers)… yeah, that’s a powerful recommendation. And stressing that GURU (RIP) had that monotone style that NO ONE could come close to imitating. Yeah, Finesse is spot on!

Enjoy and reflect on Gang Starr’s greatness. For the Culture!

(Ha! See what I did there? Because that song is part of O.C.’s Tiny Desk Concert and… maaaaan, just click play!)

Butta Verses – “That’s Me” (Produced By Lord Finesse)

Bronx-bred emcee Butta Verses (who now calls South Florida home) has returned after nearly a three-year hiatus with a Lord Finesse-produced track entitled “That’s Me.” The single is a leak promoting his yet-to-be-titled mixtape (due out September 18, 2012). The mixtape will include production from the likes of Marco Polo, The Mighty V.I.C. (The Beatnuts, Groove Merchantz, Ghetto Pros), and BeanOne (of Dyme Def). Should be dope. Classic Clips: Biggie In The Studio with Lord Finesse (Video)

This is some rare unearthed video of a studio session with Biggie in the studio with Lord Finesse. There’s more conversation in the this video about how wack Biggie thought Red Hot Lover Tone was back in the day. Biggie also mentions how Puffy wanted him to be prepared to rhyme at any time & at any moment.
