The Strong Black Women Of Marvel’s Luke Cage (Video)

Yes, Black women are strong, but we also need space to be vulnerable.
Women who lead and love Marvel’s Luke Cage discuss turning their pain into power.

Oh, go binge Seasons 1 & 2 of Marvel’s Luke Cage (on Netflix) if you just missed that whole ‘coffee’ reference. In short, it’s code wording between Luke and the women he is going to ‘blend’ (ha)!

Marvel’s “The Defenders” Launches Globally On August 18, 2017 (Trailer)

Alright, so I am finally caught up on all my backlog of “Arrow” episodes (didn’t get into it until Season 3, shout to the homie SuperKing for recommending it). Thank you Netflix! Caught up on DC watching for now. But I have SOOOOO much Marvel binge watching – Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, AND Iron Fist – to do before Marvel’s The Defenders comes out. Netflix, no chill!

Blind ninja. Smart-ass detective. Bulletproof ex-con. Kung Fu billionaire. Marvel’s The Defenders centers on four outsider heroes that have to put aside their personal issues and come together when a villainous sect threatens to destroy New York City as we know it. The Netflix original series launches globally on August 18, 2017.

Marvel’s The Defenders (Series Trailer)

The full official trailer for “The Defenders” is here, and it is teasing a Netflix team-up series that is more badazz than any of the hero’s that comprise the team! Is that possible? Watch the trailer all the way down to that hallway fight where Luke, Jessica, Fist and Daredevil are kicking much azz and giving no damns about their names… Then YOU decide for yourself!

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. The Netflix original series will launch globally on August 18, 2017.
– Netflix

Not saying I don’t care what you think, but if you don’t think Marvel’s “The Defenders” is gonna be worthy, WE DON’T CARE! So.. haters can go binge ‘Scandal’ reruns or something.

Quentin Tarantino Considered Making a ‘Luke Cage’ Movie (Video)

Yeah man! Can you imagine? In the above clip, grindhouse movie guru Quentin Tarantino actually thought about producing a Luke Cage (one of Marvel Comics’ first Black super-heroes) movie… or something like it. Tarantino is a comic enthusiast, too. So, you know it would have been raw!

“After ‘Reservoir Dogs,’ I had considered doing a Luke Cage, Hero for Hire movie. [Hollywood producer] Ed Pressman owned the rights at that time, and we talked about it,” Tarantino said. “I talked to Larry Fish [Laurence Fishburne] about being Luke Cage, and he really liked that idea. Then I ended up writing Pulp Fiction.”

– Tarantino to MTV News

Well… you never know. In the meantime, “Django Unchained”Tarantino’s newest movie (due out Christmas Day) – should be good.
