Like most people I haven’t been that excited about Heavyweight Boxing in years man…It just hasn’t been that interesting or exciting to me & the increasing popularity of Mixed Martial Arts doesn’t help either. British Boxer Dereck Chisora lost to the big Russian Vitali Klitschko over the weekend & during the post fight press conference Chisora got into a shouting match with former WBA Heavyweight champion & South London product David Haye that escalated into a crazy brawl & concluded with verbal threats of shootings & leaving individuals cut by shards of glass. I spotted this video over at Terez Owens & I’d have to agree that lately these press conference antics are more exciting than the fights these days. Even the Pre-fight press conference was filled with controversy when Klitschko was spat on by Chisora….

The Jeremy Lin “Insanity” that’s been happening OFF the court has been borderline racist at times. ESPN recently fired one staffer for the insensitive “Chink In The Armor” headline & suspended one of their sportscasters for a month for repeating it live on air. It wasn’t just ESPN taking things a little too far as NY print media have even fallen victim to it, but SNL’s skit last night was a well played lesson on some of the absurdity of all the racial insensitivity that’s been carried out in the media recently. Hopefully people watching got the underlying message & not just the jokes….

Being a devout Christian it shouldn’t be a surprise that his two favorite artists would be grounded in Christianity in some way. After ESPN’s recent controversially racist “Chink In The Armour” headline following the Knicks loss Friday, Jeremy maybe thinking “They need Jesus” & gone ahead & forgive them by sending ESPN writers some music from Christian rapper Lecrae and Christian rock band Hillsong.

Comedy: Will Ferrell Introduces The New Orleans Hornets

While down in New Orleans filming his new movie “Dog Fight”, comedian & actor Will Ferrell was given the honor to introduce the New Orleans Hornets team during their game against the Chicago Bulls last Thursday night. Not only was Will Ferrell’s introductions pure comedy, but the lowly Hornets team was blown out that same night 90-67. I hope none of the fans attending the Hornets “80s Night” were hoping that Will Ferrell was gonna suit up with the Flint Tropics & perform “Love Me Sexy” during halftime. Hahaaaa!

Tony Dorsett says the league pressured injured players to “get back out” on the field, causing long-term damage.
