CyHi The Prynce – “Cold As Ice” (Video)

One of Atlanta’s illest emcees on the rise CyHi The Prynce is as cold as ice on that microphone mannn. I’ve said it plenty of times before that if this kid doesn’t blow up something serious than somebody is seriously dropping the ball with his talent. CyHi delivers a new video for “Cold As Ice” which utilizes the same Foreigner sample that M.O.P. used for their street classic of the same name about a decade back.  From a production standpoint I dig M.O.P.’s flip of the track better, but the beauty of CyHi The Prynce’s take on the song is his lyricism & clever wordplay if you pay attention.  You can find this track on CyHi The Prynce’s equally as dope Royal Flush II mixtape he dropped earlier this year.

Peedi Crakk x CyHi The Prynce – “God Bless The Lyrical”

Now this joint right here is pure dopeness over a classic hip hop instrumental with Philly’s finest Peedi Crakk & Atlanta’s own CyHi The Prynce demonstrating how ill they both are as emcees. Wack rappers with no type of flow or skill need to study this freestyle joint right here. This particular track is going to appear on Peedi Crakk’s upcoming mixtape “Crakk Files 4” in the near future. Until that drops I’m rewinding this joint right here as I type this….

CyHi The Prynce Speaks on Nas’s influence, Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music camp, & his upcoming album ‘The Hard Way Musical’ (Video)

CyHi The Prynce is one of my favorite new young artists in the game. There is no reason in hell this guy should not be a household name in a few years in my opinion. His mixtapes are better than 90% of rap artists albums & if he continues with that level of quality I’m positive his upcoming full length album “The Hard Way Musical” on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam label will be a critical & commercial success. Check out the video where he talks about losing a battle which indirectly made him become a fan of Nas & solidified his belief in the importance of lyricism in his music.

New Music: CyHi The Prynce – “Jack of All Trades” (Mixtape)

CyHi The Prynce links up with DJ Scream & DJ Spinz for a mixtape that differs from his previous two releases of Royal Flush & Royal Flush II which were basically free albums with original music, but this time around with the “Jack Of All Trades” mixtape he flows over tracks many rap fans are familiar with & put his his own touch on them to make them his own. No features either…

Kendrick Lamar, CyHi The Prynce, & Cory Gunz show in Atlanta (Video)

Last weekend some pretty dope rappers touched down in Atlanta for a show at The Loft. My sources tell me the crowd wasnt feeling Cory Gunz. Its dope to see and independent artist like Kendrick Lamar taking top billing over machine major label artist. POWER.

CyHi The Prynce – Royal Flush 2 (Mixtape)

CyHi Da Prynce drops the follow up to his debut Royal Flush mixtape that dropped in October of last year with this brand new re-up of new music for Royal Flush II……CyHi Da Prynce represents that bridge between various styles of music & lifestyles in Atlanta without dumbing down his talent. His music is everyday man, ladies man, street, lyrical, intelligent, club, & progressive all at once without coming off weak or too contrived. Creative. He seems to be able to repeatedly straddle those lines that the majority of artists just haven’t figured out how to pull off. CyHi Da Prynce is talented…I said it many times before…this kid is official. It’s hard to call this a mixtape. This joint right here is an album. Full tracklist after the jump……

CyHi Da Prynce Speaks On The XXL Magazine 2011 Freshmen Cover (Video)

If the behind the scenes politics are right (you know there’s alot of music industry politics that go on), I believe that CyHi Da Prynce is very capable of becoming a very big artist in the hip hop game. The talent is there but all the rest is management, positioning, & great timing.

Saigon & CyHi Da Prynce Meet To Possibly Collaborate On A Song (Video)

While in Atlanta promoting his critically acclaimed album ‘Greatest Story Never Told’ album, Saigon meets CyHi Da Prynce for the first time & discuss working on a song together. It’s great timing how they met because prior to CyHi stopping by V-103’s studios unexpectedly, Saigon was giving the young Atlanta emcee his props as a lyricist to people who just so happened to be in the studio at the time.

CyHi Da Prynce – ‘Ring Bellz’ (Video)

Pusha T Shares His Favorite Verse on ‘SoulCulture TV’ (Video)

Going into it with SoulCulture TV, Pusha T talks about what he would consider to be one of his best verses in recent years.” It was his verse on Kanye West’s “So Appalled” (off the “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” – which also featured Jay-Z, Cyhi the Prynce, Swizz Beatz and RZA). Pusha gets reflective; and the clip – though brief – is instructive. Check it out.
