Well, we just posted on Busta Rhymes’ leaving Cash Money. Now, there’s another shift in the Hip-Hop cosmos…G.O.O.D. Music bids adieu to Chi-Town’s Common. Similarly, the rap titans (Kanye West and Common) have apparently parted on good terms; no animosity in Common’s commentary about the subject.
…‘Ye is my brother. Point-blank, business-wise, it wasn’t like…‘Ye wasn’t really like ‘Okay, let’s go do this. Let’s go do this album.’ It was like, ‘I’m ’bout to go do this album, ‘Ye. We friends, but if you ain’t really trying to…but if we ain’t gonna create together, it’s all good. We still brothers.’ I think his focus was somewhere else…Marriage, life, good places…I cherish our friendship more than music. I’m grateful for the music we did…
Good scoop by HipHop DX. Check out the RapFix interview clip above. Good seeing brothers wish the best to each other; whether together or on their own. Part of being grown.
Pusha T… Rozay… drum-beat booming heavy… Check, check, CHECK! Oh, and nice eye candy. Is the music good. Yeah, it’s G.O.O.D. Music meets MMG. Good collab. Check out the feature film-like visuals for Pusha T’s “Millions” (featuring Rick Ross). Pusha T’s new “Wrath Of Caine” mixtape is out now. Cop it below….
Q-Tip asking for ‘permission’ from [fellow G.O.O.D. Music clique member] Pusha T to let the cat out of the bag. Priceless. Anyway, it looks like Q-Tip will appease those who were disappointed that he did not appear on the G.O.O.D. Music compilation project “Cruel Summer”… by appearing on a “Cruel Winter” project! Peep the video above for the ‘scoop.’
This “Clique” is tough! Admit it. The crew (Kanye West, Big Sean, Jay-Z) and the track (produced by Hit-Boy). “Clique” (featuring Big Sean and Jay-Z) is a Kanye West banger leaked in advance of the forthcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation, “Cruel Summer” (due out September 18, 2012). Listen and download it FREE here.
While out at the Cannes Film Festival to support Kanye West’s new film ‘Cruel Summer’, Virginia based emcee Pusha T dropped this dope joint via his twitter that sounds pretty dope. Although he enlists R&B singer The-Dream on the hook this joint is STILL a ‘BEEF’ record. Even if your ears fail to peep Biggie’s ‘What’s Beef’ sample in the song, it’s evident from the ‘not too subliminal’ lyrics that Pusha T is dissin’ Drake in this joint. The song will appear on the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album. Yeah it’s heating up to be a ‘Cruel Summer’ already…..

In this episode of the “Let the Beat Build” series, the crew sat down with G.O.O.D Music’s new resident hit maker, Hit Boy. The mastermind behind Kanye West & Jay Z’s “N*ggas in Paris” got talking about his start in production, working with A$AP Rocky on “Goldie” and his debut single “Jay-Z Interview” produced by Grammy Award winning producer, Bink.
CyHi The Prynce has been one of my favorite new artists for the past year or two now. I’m praying he gets his just fruits for his talent now that he’s signed to Kanye West’s “G.O.O.D.” music camp. Kanye’s ‘G.O.O.D.’ music team may arguably be the most talented in hip hop right now especially with the recent addition of Q-Tip of ATCQ so I’m not surprised that Atlanta’s CyHi The Prynce is involved on that squad of high powered talent. Check out this “Open Letter Freestyle” that the Stone Mountain native dropped prior to the release of his “Ivy League Club” mixtape. The G.O.O.D. music album spearheaded by Kanye West is on the way too….

Pusha T talks about wanting to work with Common, the difference between working with his brother vs G.O.O.D. Music, and Fear of God II.
CyHi The Prynce Speaks on Nas’s influence, Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music camp, & his upcoming album ‘The Hard Way Musical’ (Video)
CyHi The Prynce is one of my favorite new young artists in the game. There is no reason in hell this guy should not be a household name in a few years in my opinion. His mixtapes are better than 90% of rap artists albums & if he continues with that level of quality I’m positive his upcoming full length album “The Hard Way Musical” on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam label will be a critical & commercial success. Check out the video where he talks about losing a battle which indirectly made him become a fan of Nas & solidified his belief in the importance of lyricism in his music.
