Man Fakes Being A Celebrity In New York & So-Called ‘Fans’ Fall For It (Video)

One of the reasons I hate the music business so much is because this actually happens today very very frequently. There are numerous people in the business with no talent, but they have mastered the art of public manipulation. Even some of the celebrities who may truly have talent have mastered the art of media manipulation. I can’t reveal names but many high-profile celebrities that I’m well aware of & many on the rise have employed these fake tactics not limited to having fake twitter followers, facebook friends, & buying out bloggers, radio DJs, & music industry writers. Some rap artists claim to own pro NBA teams & have their PR specialists send out press releases to garner more favor with fans, but when real journalistic investigation is done we learn otherwise. Check out this video from this man Brett Cohen who pulled this social experiment on his so-called ‘fans’ in New York City recently. “On the night of July 27th, 2012, a huge prank was pulled in New York City and this is the video of what took place. Brett Cohen came up with a crazy idea to fool thousands of pedestrians walking the streets of Times Square into thinking he was a huge celebrity, and it worked! Not only did it work, it caused quite a stir. This social experiment, of sorts, makes a profound statement about how modern culture is so attracted to pop culture, without any real credibility needed.”

NFL WR Calvin “Megatron” Johnson Featured On ESPN’s ‘E:60’ Program (Video)

Calvin “Megatron” Johnson is arguably the most dominant wide receiver in the NFL today & ESPN’s E:60 program did a feature on him that I had watched live when it aired. Despite being nicknamed “Megatron” by his teammates & doing well in the league, Calvin Johnson appears to be a very grounded, non-diva attitude wearing wide receiver in the NFL. This mini-documentary hosted by ESPN’s Lisa Salters does provide some insight as to who Megatron really is when he transforms off the field into Calvin Johnson.

Lebron James: Journey To The Ring (Video)

Lebron James, the greatest basketball player in the NBA today, has probably had the best ever year of his life. King James has won his third NBA league MVP Award, lead his Miami Heat squad to an NBA Championship in which he was also the NBA Finals MVP, & lead the U.S. Men’s Olympic basketball team to Olympic Gold among many other accolades. In fact, Michael Jordan is the only other player to win an N.B.A. championship, N.B.A. most valuable player honors and Olympic gold in the same year. It’s been an outstanding year for a man who I believe is on pace to be the greatest ever to play the game of basketball. Although Lebron James & the Miami Heat are the heavy favorites to win another NBA championship next season, only time will tell as there is still plenty of work to do for the 27-year-old superstar but this “highlight documentary” follows the kid from Akron Ohio’s entire journey to his first ever NBA championship ring. I’m proud to say that I was there. Here’s to more championship rings for the King. Greatness!

This joint is pretty dope with the smooth chillout vibe & I completely understand what Mac Miller is doing by ‘screwing up’ his vocals on the track. I’m not sure if this is eventually gonna be a reference track for another rapper, R&B singer, or if the Pittsburgh kid will use it on an upcoming project, but this J-Hill produced track definitely sounds dope to me on some chillout shieeeeeet.

After being teased with the trailer several days back, Nasir Jones lets us peep the official video to “Bye Baby” off of his “Life Is Good” album. Arguably the best hip hop album to have dropped this year & this is clearly one of the standout tracks from ‘Life Is Good.’ Nice detail for Nas & director Aristotle to have former Guy frontman Aaron Hall to have him up in the video as well. I’m positive Aaron Hall’s music career will find a new resurgence by his appearance in the video to this hit song. Life Is Good indeed…..Bye Baby!
