Salaam Remi, Amy Winehouse’s Main Producer, Speaks On Her Artistic Influence, Dying At 27 And More (Video)

Ohhhh! Amy Winehouse’s main producer was Salaam Remi? That’s one of Nas’ go-to producers. Wonder if that is what put them in contact (e.g. both working with and trusting Remi), allowing them to grow their friendship. Or was it that those two were friends… and one introduced the other to Salaam Remi.

Salaam Remi is one of the producers who worked heavily with the late Amy Winehouse. The producer discusses meeting Amy, and how they would come together to produce jazz music. He goes on to speak about her issues with love, her sense of humor and how that affected her music. Despite producing a majority of Amy’s work, Salaam reveals he did not get a Grammy alongside the songstress. Salaam talks, Amy’s legacy after the troubled singer died at just 27 years old.

Unseen Throwback Footage Of Amy Winehouse (Video)

The “Amy” film will come out November 2, 2015. But check out this intimate never-before-seen clip of Amy Winehouse being plain ol’ Amy. Plenty of close-ups; none of them ‘ugly’ (despite what she says).

Why’re you filming me so close? I’m ugly.

The Making Of ‘Amy’ (Behind The Scenes Featurette)

The world lost its jazzy songbird Amy in 2011, but she will not be forgotten thanks to films like “Amy.” We posted on the film, out in the United Kingdom and Ireland now, earlier here. It’ll include lots of unseen archive footage and previously unheard music. But above, we have ‘included’ (e.g. embedded) a behind-the-scenes short for the Making Of

Amy (Trailer)

Trailer for the new Amy Winehouse documentary, “Amy.” Critics loved it at Cannes Film Festival. We loved us some Amy (apparent by the posts on here). The doc goes into the lyrics, more than suggesting linkages between the movie and the singer’s tumultuous life in its slant… so much depth. Amy. Lost to the world at 27, but sure to be remembered by the world long, long after. Check this trailer out. In theaters July 3, 2015.

Nas – “Cherry Wine” (Trailer)

Without question Nas’s soon to be classic “Life Is Good” album is one of the best hip hop albums to have dropped this year. What makes me more excited is the way in which he’s releasing a single for many of the songs from the project. Nas is set to drop this 5th video from the “Life Is Good” project with one of my favorite songs off the album entitled “Cherry Wine” featuring Amy Winehouse. Dope choice Mr. Jones…..Dope choice. Terry Urban Presents: Nas x Amy Winehouse – “Me & Mr. Jones” (Mixtape)

On July 17, 2012, the incomparable emcee Nas releases his long awaited album “Life Is Good.” On July 23, 2012, fans commemorate the first anniversary of the passing of the unforgettable Amy Winehouse. What’s the tie-in? Leave it to Terry Urban to make one. His incredible mix of work from the two incredible artists – entitled Me & Mr. Jones” is a concept that is (to say the least) an unexpected treat. This is an appropriate release in advance of both monumental events; and a good piece of work on its own merits. Respect.

NAS feat. Amy Winehouse – “Cherry Wine”

Another quality gem from Nas’s upcoming “Life Is Good” album due July 17th. This particular single produced by Salaam Remi featuring Nas’s fallen soul sister who shares the same birthday the late great Amy Winehouse. Apparently the collaboration came about through one of Nas’s past recording sessions with Amy Winehouse a few years ago. With all these quality songs the Queensbridge emcee has been releasing all I can say is……Life is Good…. indeed…..

Nas Speaks on his Friendship with Amy Winehouse (Video)
