Technology/Gaming: Learn To Make Car Repairs In Virtual Reality (Video)

Perhaps not an age-old question, but a cool one to answer: “Can I learn to fix race cars without risking damage to something expensive (like a car, or myself)?” “Oh wait, follow up, I don’t have a car, garage or tools of my own; does that matter much?. Oh, and wait, do I have to get ‘dirty’ and stuff?” Hahaaa!

Fix your car…in VR!

It’s time to get your car ready for racing without getting your hands dirty. “Wrench” is an indie game for virtual reality that lets players assemble photorealistic components for a custom race car. Players diagnose problems with their speed machines and try to fix them.

The game is still in development, and the developers say it won’t include any driving simulation either.

Gaming/Relationships: Man Marries The Anime Character Of His Dreams (Video)

Hmm… file this under, “Naaaah, not crazy at all. Do you, um, player!”

Japanese adult game developer Hibiki Works recently performed a VR assisted wedding between a man and the anime character of his dreams. The wedding – which actually took place in a chapel in Tokyo – was part of Hibiki Works’ promotion of their upcoming game “Niizuma: Lovely x Cation.”

So, question: With the virtual wife concept… Would that be ‘death do them part’ after losing one life on the video game; or is this an ‘all lives matter’ situation (like, you have to stay with the new virtual spouse through all your game lives).

Remember When That Cliffside Shop Was Giving Out Free Jackets? (Video)

Ah! Here’s what looks like a winner for best response to when bae pops up like, “Honey, let’s go shopping,” all excited and *ish. Just make sure bae’s not a climbing enthusiast, and you can have your weekend back… Sheeeeit! They haven’t made a jacket worth a death-defying rock climb. Sorry, so NOT sorry. HA!

A pop-up clothing shop lets you get warm 300 feet up.

Cocona set up a shop 300 feet in the air in Colorado’s Eldorado Canyon. Climbers earned the clothing simply by making the ascent up the canyon’s Bastille Wall — no purchase necessary.

Cocona wants to show off their clothing, which is based on “37.5 technology” — it keeps climbers’ body temperature at 37.5 degrees Celsius, or 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Many climbers claim that temperature is ideal for endurance.

Technology: This Is Facial Recognition… On Steroids (Video)

Now we have a step up because we know who you are.

Wow. Remember when Hov said, “Streets Is Watching” (actually, rapped or… you know)? Well, now they’ve upped their game. They’re watching… figuring out who you know, how you feel, what you’re thinking… And if you are not concerned yet, I gotta ask, “What ARE you THINKING??”

(What do you think might be done with this tech? Why don’t you think they are ALREADY doing it?)

Science: What Is A ‘Category 5’ Hurricane Really? (Video)

We’ve been hit with hurricanes these past few weeks (Harvey, Irma)… hit badly. And it was reported that the weather events reached Category 5. But what does that mean actually? Anyone?

Hurricanes roll up the Atlantic basin every year, but they weren’t categorized until 1971. The system, called the Saffir-Simpson Scale, tracks wind speed, damage caused, power and water loss expected, and habitability of affected areas. Category 1 storms are usually the least destructive, with the scale topping out at Category 5 storms, which can cause areas to be uninhabitable for weeks or months.

Iranian Women Combat Domestic Violence With Ninjutsu (Video)

A different fare for the ‘nooner’ hour to be certain. When these ladies say ‘no touching’ you better listen and heed, or you gone learn today… learn how to eat and wipe with your other hand (for at least a while)!

Students at Tehran’s “Ninja Ranger” are not just learning martial arts for exercise. More and more Iranian women are becoming ninjas to fight back against domestic violence. Ninjutsu is traditionally an East Asian martial art, but has become a popular tool for women to improve their safety and confidence. Women in Iran are training in hand-to-hand combat as well as with various weapons.

Yeah! These ladies are not gonna take it anymore. They are going to take it out on attackers and abusers!
