Method Man Returns To Staten Island, Park Hill Projects, & The Beginnings Of The Wu-Tang Clan (Video)

Y’all were this close to getting ‘Panty Raider’ Man up in the Wu Tang Clan. Great video by Grantland on Method’s reflections on the Wu way back when. It’s been 20 years since “Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers” man. Wow.

DJ Mathematics – “Shorty + Four Horsemen” (Video)

You know how the Wu will drop a two-in-one video, right? This is that… the DJ Mathematics way. The first half – “Shorty” featuring Cappadonna and Masta Killa (of Wu-Tang Clan) set it off with dope music and tight visuals… and even tighter eye candy… but it doesn’t eat sweet. Then we close the double-up video with the “Four Horsemen” featuring Inspektah Deck and Method Man. A great effort directed by Rock Davis, for Itchy House Films!

Raekwon- “Who Shot Ya Freestyle”

Shallah Raekwon is about to drop his Lost Jewelry EP sometime in the near future, but first ‘the Chef’ serves up a nice freestyle over the classic “Who Shot Ya” beat that Biggie made famous. Raekwon must have been watching the outcome of the Manny Pacquiao versus Marquez fight while recording his verses because his excitement at the end of this song is priceless.

Raekwon Says The Wu-Tang Clan Suffered When Everyone Focused On Their Solo Careers (Video)

In a recent sitdown interview with VladTV, Raekwon spoke on how he felt the individual solo careers of Wu-Tang Clan members ultimately hurt the group in many ways.  I can understand where Shallah Raekwon is coming from in terms of missing the close camaraderie of his group members , but trying to feed a 9 man group would prove to be difficult over time.  So I’d have to respectfully disagree with Rae on that.  The solo careers helped make the Wu-Tang Clan stronger in the presence of the fans in my opinion. Although things have waned a little for the group as a whole in more recent years, but I’d argue that their solo careers have kept the Wu-Tang Clan alive.  Not sure about the recent allegations in the news of RZA renting out the Wu-Tang Clan logo out to foreign rap artists though…

Sheek announced the Wu Block album via his twitter last year. The album is supposed to be a collaboration between Sheek and Ghostface Killah. Been quiet on all fronts until this joint hit the web. I’m definitely feeling this track. Can’t wait to see what other features come together for this joint.

Cappadonna – ‘Milk The Cow’ (Video)

This Cappadonna joint right here used to be my sh*t! It’s dope to see artists going back & shooting videos for bangers that never got the visual treatment! I’m gonna have to put this back on my itunes playlist again….

Ghostface Speaks On Upcoming Album, Wu-Tang Tattoos, Cee-Lo’s Success, & Adapting In The New Music Industry (Video)

One of my all-time favorite emcees was out on tour in London & spoke about his upcoming album, fans with Wu-Tang Clan tattoos, why artists like Cee-Lo from Goodie Mob are successful, & adjusting in today’s new music climate. Ghostface also dropped some jewels in this interview about how God may often hold you up with disappointment just to show you who’s really with you or not. Lebron James could really benefit from listening to that portion of Ghostface’s speech based on the amount of hate that brother was receiving. This was a great & entertaining interview largely because Ghostface did most, if not all, of the talking.
