Shaolin Jazz – “Love & Heat”

First leak from a dope concept EP (“Byrd Over Staten,” in tribute to the late jazz great Donald Byrd) by Shaolin Jazz entitled “Love & Heat.” Lay the vocal craziness from Ghostface Killah and Busta Rhymes over Byrd for the backing. The rest of the project goes heavy on the Wu-Tang, of course. Check it out.

Raekwon Speaks On Designing Sneakers & Possible Wu-Tang Biopic (Video)

Raekwon speaking on how a business opportunity led to the design of his Diadora N9000 shoes. See the interview above with him at the release event. He also talks about the possibility of a Wu-Tang Clan documentary or film; as ‘Straight Outta Compton’ opened that lane, documenting N.W.A. from back in the day.

Method Man Speaks On Wu-Tang, His ‘Twitter’ Methods, & How His New Film Is A ‘Trainwreck’ (Video)

Method Man stops by Power 105 NYC to discuss his career, the Wu-Tang Clan, and to promo his new movie “Trainwreck.”  Reeeeally different promo than what co-star Amy Schumer is doing (no bed, no droids or sex toys).

UPDATE: Method Man Explains His Twitter Methods (Video)

Raekwon Speaks On His Classic Song ‘Criminology’ & Various Beat Samples (Video)

Historical and real. Starting from part 1 of this multi-part series. Raekwon speaking on how songs came together for Wu-Tang Clan back in the day; especially recounting how he was there to grab the beat for his classic “Criminology” from RZA right ‘off the stove’ at the home studio (because if he wasn’t, someone else would…that’s just how the wolves ate in the studio)!

That’s just the beginning. Check out all this good content; a series of shorts that start above and continue after the jump.

Divorce Court: Man Accuses His Wife Of Sleeping With The Entire Wu-Tang Clan (Video)

“Let me put on the record that the Wu-Tang is nothing but gentlemen,” said the Defendant. “They treated me highly respectful and I would never cheat on him. Also…I don’t know if this is appropriate to say, but I would never be like a bust down or a groupie in that type of situation. I kept my lady points together…I met Wu-Tang. I went backstage and got on their tour bus. I went back to the hotel and hung out all night. It was amazing!”

Yeah, riiiiight. Apparently, Wu-Tang Clan is something to f#ck with. Wonder if Method Man called out the order like the intro: The Rza, The Gza… Hahaaa!

Umm… that is to say innocent until proven guilty in a [Divorce] Court of [TV] law.

Maaan. If your wife came back to the house from a Wu concert with this story after 7 AM the next morning and you DON’T leave her… HA! Just watch this episode of Divorce Court.

Raekwon With A Wu-Tang Memory: A Push-Up Competition With ODB… After Smoking Dust (Video)

You know how blogs try to jazz up the titles and bylines to get readers to come read posts. Well, there was not much “jazzing” to do on this one. It’s Raek, talking Wu-Tang, specifically ODB… remembering when he, Dirty B and a gang ‘o ninjas got down with some “dust” then got down on the floor and knocked out thousands of pushups. Fitness plan for your a$$ to be certain! Wow.

Meek Mill feat. Rick Ross – “Ice Cream Freestyle” (Video)

Meek Mill’s reworking of Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan’s 1995 classic banger ‘Ice Cream’ is outstanding to me. The North Philly kid murders this new freestyle with his extraordinary ability to ride, bounce, & flow over the track with relative ease lyrically. His agility in flowing over this flipped track produced by fellow Pennsylvania native Jahlil Beats is as dope a combo as Cake & Ice cream, Peanut Butter & Jelly, and…..Well you get the picture.  Just a perfect combination of ‘Beatz & Lyrics’.  I love playing this joint on my radio show.  If you still can’t picture it after hearing it then the people over at XXL directed this new video in Atlanta for you to see the vision a little clearer.  Check out the brand new video for the ‘ICE CREAM FREESTYLE’ above but with a minor change as this time Meek Mill brings along his slimmed down Maybach Music Bawse Ricky Rozay to add some bars a few ad-libs & grunts.

Wu-Tang Clan x David Bowie – “C.R.E.A.M. vs. F.A.M.E.” (Produced By Ryan Stinson)

FameCanadian producer Ryan Stinson who is the owner of the independent hip hop label Phonographique out there in the land of the great maple leaf, dropped this very dope mashup/blend featuring Wu-Tang Clan & David Bowie. This ‘C.R.E.A.M. vs. FAME’ joint is pretty ill from the the label owner who also happens to be a part of the production duo ‘The Dirty Sample’, who created the soundscapes to that dope ass Three Sixty Five joint’ for Roc Marciano that we posted weeks ago.  This ‘C.R.E.A.M. vs Fame’ joint is going to get much run from me on the radio show & at any other event I just so happen to be spinning at.

Wu-Tang Fans Ain’t Nuthin’ To F*$k With: Ghostface Fans Beatdown A Heckler At His Show (Video)

Ghostface Killah was performing in Amarillo, TX when some random dude was allegedly flashing middle fingers to him & talking sh*t to him during the course of the show. After a moment Ghostface stopped the show & called out the heckler & challenged him to step on stage if he had an issue. Before that could even happen the true Wu-Tang fans took matters into their own hands & beat the dude down. Yes indeed…proving Wu-Tang fans ain’t nuthin To F*$k with!

Classic Clips: Ol Dirty Bastard x GZA Freestyling in 1991 (Video)

ODB and GZA freestyling… in the bathroom! How real is that? How classic!! This is how we used to do. Wonder of music box caught anybody ‘catching wreck’ (so Golden Era today) in the cafeteria. Beatboxing is one thing, but nothing beats a beat beat out on a lunchroom table.

Wu-Tang Clan – “A Better Tomorrow” (Video)

Black lives matter. Hip-Hop matters, especially when it is bringing truth to light like this. Great flip of the “Wake Up Everybody” music by Teddy Pendergrass for today’s cause. Respect to Wu-Tang for putting this out; especially now.

This visual was created by Wu-Tang Clan in the hopes of inspiring change and promoting unity throughout the world.

Wu-Tang Clan – “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F#ck Wit” (Sung By The Movies) [Video]

This is pure genius! You know you’re large when other folks rap your lyrics. But “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F#ck Wit” got someone so open they decided to make movie stars rap the jawn by splicing together their clips! Man. That’s larger than large. Huge… like Dreadnoughtus Schrani sized!

Raekwon – ‘Close To You’

Raekwon continues his ‘Throwback Thursday’ assault over classic R&B joints from back in the day. This time around the Wu-Tang lyricist decides to take it back to the 80s & get ‘Close To You’ on this Gwen Guthrie joint. It’s an interesting choice for ‘the Chef’ to flip his lyrical finesse over, but I think Rae should have utilized her 1986 ‘get off your ass’ controversial classic “Ain’t Nothing Going On But The Rent”. It’s all good…. just another appetizer before Raekwon’s upcoming ‘F.I.L.A.’ project on the way.

Raekwon – “Got To Be There / The Girl Is Mine”

Raekwon flips a few classics again for what seems like his weekly Throwback Thursday series of freestyles. This time around ‘The Chef’ reaches into his bag for the Michael Jackson classics ‘Got To Be There’ & then segues into ‘The Girl Is Mine’ duet with Paul McCartney. Rae continues to hit us with all these musical appetizers before his next album ‘F.I.L.A.’ drops.
